Right, because we're all the ones that have a favorite player that blinds us from seeing reality
TIGRLEE is as objective as they come

And what exactly is this reality you speak of?..

The part of my last post that you refused to address because it invalidates your "point".
quote:
Miles punished TM by removing him from the team for a year. It wasn't the ended of the relationship. He specifically said the situation would be revisited if TM got his act together.
He clearly has. It just so happens that at the end of the punishment TM decided to forego his college eligibility.
Had TM not been draft eligible, he would be playing in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night.
Not to mention the reality that TM didn't do anything to disgrace the university that would warrant his being completely erased and removed from the program's history despite being one of the most dominant and recognizable players ever to play football for LSU.
Those realities.

Why are you constantly trying to make this a TLEE hating TM thread?
I never said or insinuated he shoud be "erased and removed" from progras history.
I just don't believe he as any busiess on the sidelines.
Thats the Price you pay for fricking up.... And no he wouldn't be on the field playing sat if he wasn't draft eligible... Remember the little JJ drug bust he was involved in? Ay chance he had to return he managed to really F it up when that happened.
Can you imagine the (potential) distraction it COULD cause?
Why bother dude.. Why?
That's the reality I and anyone that doesn't have TM blinders on see.
I get it... It's unpopular opinion bc he's a popular player... Doesn't change the facts though.

Did Tyrann Mathieu even graduate LSU?

Agree to disagree.

Only if you're on the team at the time though right? Most would say Billy Cannon fricked up worse than TM, and yet there his name and number is on full display in Tiger Stadium. (Not saying it shouldn't be btw. That seems more like what your position would be.)

I honestly don't think it would be much of a distraction. Shaq is on the sideline once a year at least. If he isn't too much of a distraction TM certainly isn't.
I understand Shaq wasn't kicked off a team, but if you're talking about distractions as a reason, I just don't think it's a valid concern. Most of these guys played with TM. Doubt they'd give it much thought.

I don't know. I know he left early and didn't but maybe he has made up the credit hours since then.
I would think that would be a better prerequisite to getting sideline access then the qualifications being imposed on both sides of the argument.

The player you idolize threw a temper tantrum and then quit on his team when the going got rough. That's reality. In my mind that's much worse than TM7 getting kicked off the team.

Exactly.
LSU isn't responsible for grown men that happens to be a former player... Especially during another coaches tenure.
You absoutly cant compare Shaq with TM... For one simple reason.
There is/were no controversy or negative headlines concerning Shaquille oneal and LSU.
Lots of time outside distractions (look at 1-9-12) have as much impact as inner team distractions.
It's just a situation where it appears to me a lot more bad could potentially happen than good.. Certainly we can agree on that.

I mean is RPerriloux welcome? Cecil the deisel? Kyle Anderson? Derrick odom? Damien James? combined they contributed less than 1/10th of what TM did for LSU football. You know this to be true.

Nope. We can't. No bad would come of TM being on the sideline for a game. Zero.
You're being dramatic.
TM paid a very high price for a very minor vice. He appears to have learned from the lesson Coach Miles was trying to teach him, and is likely a better person for it.
I see no reason whatsoever that that punishment should be indefinite. And in fact it specifically was NOT indefinite, as Miles said he would review TMs status after the 2012 season.
I'm sure Miles is actually quite happy with TMs progress, and would be happy to use him as an example for current and future players of how small things can become huge problems. But also that there is always hope for redemption when you accept responsibility for your actions and try to change your life for the better.
It's never too late. Even for you LEE...

No I'm not, I just don't see the need or purpose.
Doesn't matter if its a mi or or major vice... He chose his own path... You can try justifying all you want.p

Pretty sure that was before the JJ drug bust.
I hope he has turned his life around for the good FOR GOOD.. After two months in the NFL... Meh, I wouldn't go all in on him that he has.
No sane person would.

Committing felonies is ok but God forbid you get booted from a sports team.
That's the only thing that matters. Whether or not you were kicked off the team.

Les really doesn't mention him anymore

I get the fact you still jerk it to your honey badger poster you got for free at fan day 3 years ago, but don't mistake logic for a boycrush you have.
You should just face the fact that he'll be a part of the program as long as les miles is here.
