some of these people just bought game tix and lined up hotel rooms without booking flights i guess and just got spooked the last few weeks ..
This.
Exactly why a few people in our group aren't going. They held off booking their flights and now they are out of their desired cost and schedule.
I booked mine back in November for $240/rt...

just wondering why so many people bought tickets and now are bailing, that's all ..
Because they are realizing that there is a profit to be made by selling these tickets on eBay, Stub Hub, etc...

So many tickets are for sale because the Washington fans are not going to the game.

Seattle is one of the few major cities in the U.S that I've never been to and thought what better reason would come along?
Also, flight for two is about $480 total; staying at the W in Seattle 4 nights for free (redeem Starwood points); Hertz car for free (more points); tickets were reasonable, also. In addition to LSU playing, it was pretty much a no-brainer for me.

ole miss and alabama on the other hand are obviously far more attractive and driveable ..
5 minutes after the Washington game is over, people are going to be complaining about why LSU wasted all that money sending the traveling Pep Tiger Band to the Pacific Northwest for a meaningless out of conference game AND asking why there will be no FULL GBFTL at either the Ole Miss or Alabama game........

Seattle is boring. Their idea of fun is sitting outside on the patio of a Starbucks on a typically gloomy, misty Seattle day. The trip to Morgantown in 2011 will be much more interesting.

Well, we (wife and I) were going to go and make a week-long trip out of it.
Two things happened over the past 7 months to change our plans:
1. She's pregnant and due in Dec., so no chance of going on a Sideways-like drinking binge thru the Wash. state wine country
2. She got the hook up on 45 yd line tickets for the Florida game (helluva birthday present, I'd say)
