We will be fine. We are young, but grew up a lot this weekend! Carley will settle down. We have great coaches and they know this. I was impressed that we never gave up! Does anyone know what the deal with Randi Provost is?

We shouldn't have brought Hoover in out cold from the pen when Walljasper was doing fine.

You are right. When I pitched many many years ago, it was this very time of year and 44 degrees with the wind blowing about 10 to 15 and Normally it took me about 20 minutes to warm up. But with the cold I threw for 35 to 40 minutes and never felt loose.

Dawson isn't the answer to this team, and nice troll.

It was a no brainier to run her for Griggs as soon as she got on in the 7th.

As for being the answer, you have no idea and neither does anyone else since the staff will not explore it. It's not a troll, you just only know how to defend Beth no matter what she decides. She is a very good offensive player if given a chance. We have seen it in glimpses but the opportunity has been sparse.

I am not saying she isn't any good but if she really was that good at the plate, don't you think she would have gotten more looks? I think Dawson will be a very good player and an asset to the team. Maybe she just isn't ready quite right now. Its not a knock at all, I mean it was the same thing last season with Sanchez, as of now Sanchez doesn't exactly look like a world beater or quite as polished as we were expecting. Thats not to say she won't get there eventually. It will be fine but does Dawson have to be brought up every game when something doesn't go well? I'm sure Dawson will see the field more this season, she will be fine.

Yes, beat all the Sisters of the Poor and consistently lose to Top 5/10 opponents. That's exactly what most LSU athletic teams do. Fact, not opinion.............

She's hitting .385 with only 13 at bats and only 2 starters have a better on base percentage.

This a rebuilding year and we almost took the series from the #2 team in the country on the road, yes we made some mistakes but come on dude.

That won't fly, that's beating a dead horse. But we have been so bad on defense on the infield that it may be time for some creativity.

Doyle at 3rd and find a way to get another bat in the line up? Doyle played 3rd the entire fall and seemed to be the penciled in option until right before the season. She is as good defensively as what we have had there so far for sure.

Quinn gave us some long overdue life at the bottom of the order and in game 2 of the series the bottom actually carried us to an early lead. In that game, it was the best production we have seen this season as a group. Serrett looked very good in the last game with a couple of doubles.

Andrews had good at bats and finally got a couple of consecutive starts in LF. It has to be tough on that LF group to get any kind of consistency without a few starts in a row.

1-6 against ranked opponents is a wake up call.

You do realize respective sports teams are top 5 and 10 for a reason. When they are top 5 and 10, those teams aren't losing many games to other teams. Fact. So when you say LSU loses to these top teams in their respective sports often, it's not shocking. Go pick nearly any team in the SEC and we can play this game with all their sports programs too. But we do win these match ups sometimes just like everyone else. See gymnastics this year for example.

Unfortunately your reasoning is completely beyond the Dawson fanatics. They will not listen and they keep popping up like cockroaches when you turn the light on in a dark room. It is almost a weird obsession that I don't get. The kid will play when it is her time. End of story. The coaches see her practice; we don't. I will defer to them.

And I am not a guy that thinks coaches are above criticism. Yesterday I would have pinch hit for Andrews in the 6th inning when there were runners on. I thought the coach made a mistake there. But I didn't run straight to the Rant and call her an idiot and demand that she be fired.

As for Hoover, some said she didn't have time to warm up. I am pretty sure she had been warming most of the game. Torina is actually good about having pitchers warm and ready to go....she would never throw Hoover into the game if she wasn't ready. I thought taking Walljasper out when she did was an OK move...they had hit some balls really hard and I think Torina sensed Auburn was about to get to her.

So much "reason" going around from the "in crowd" that us outside the program just can't figure anything out with our own eyes.

Got it, so anybody that doesn't agree with the pumpers and questions anything is now a cockroach.

Good post.

Wait Bait,

you are aware that we were preseason top 5 right?

1. 5 out of 8 returning starters.
2. One of the best pitching staffs in the country
3. #2 recruiting class
4. Preseason top 10 in every poll
5. 2 veteran All-Americans are back
6. We play the "LSU Way" and "stuff" right LSUGrad?
7. We have a coaching staff that never makes a bad decision according to some folks here.

How could anybody consider that a rebuilding year Bait? We can do no wrong I guess.

Sorry, I'm just a "turd" and one of the newly crowned "cockroaches" of the board. LSUGrad, you never cease to amaze me.

Where's my man BayouBum and his insight on scholarship funds?
