I could see Stein calling the plays and Sloan being his right hand man and working on QB development

He’s just there to recruit and be QB coach. Last time he did that his QB won the Heisman.

He is OC by title only.

I don't think he's as bad as he looked this year. He had a qb who had a hard time with long balls this season. An o line that was the worst in the SEC. The truth in things like this are usually somewhere in the middle.

Many people who dissected this year's offense online and on sports shows would say that many of the plays' blocking schemes were poorly executed on otherwise good play calls.

Some of the play calls were just head scritching, which happens to most teams, though seemingly not as much as this team to me

Good luck to Joe Sloan. Glad he's gone, glad we have Lane and Weis now.
