All of these go back to at least the 80s:

First down cheer:
Ending with "kick their arse!"

Tiger Rag:
Ha ha ha ha haha ha-ha ha
You are such an assssshole
<repeat>

Hey fighting tigers:
Shouting: ANAL SEX! (or ALLEY OOP! at a basketball game)
during the pause in the song

Don't ban the students, just put them in an upper deck where they can shout whatever they want.

That would ruin the reputation of Tiger Stadium being the most intimidating place to play in the country.

I hate that neck is gone, if it truly is. But you can't move the students away from the field. That would actually affect the result of the games.

Incorrect. I went to LSU in the 90's and it wasn't widespread.

There weren't a lot of people cheering or in the stadium for that fact in the early 90's.

No. If LSU sucks arse, then that will affect the outcomes of games. The crowd noise plays a minor role, but the talent on the field determines the winners.

This is the only one I remember being said by more than half the people around me. I seriously don't remember the "a-hole" chant.

I think it is hilarious that everyone thinks Rammer Jammer is so classless, but gets pissed when we can't scream choreographed profanities anymore.

Link?

People think RammerJammer is just a sign of inbreeding

Truth.

I went in the late 90's. It was when the magic was brought back, but the profanity hadn't quite made it's way back.

Yeah, I said people were yelling "a-hole, a-hole" at the refs, but it could have also been directed to Curley at times, as well.

tiger rag - a-hole - heard it at every game i went to at lsu from 85-90. just sayin'

i guess the advent of 'surround' audio at games in the last decade makes the cheers and 'assholes' coming out of your surrounds speakers so much louder now.

i still routinely hear frick during NFL games on sunday coming from players.

I was in tiger band in 90-91
We played the original tiger rag a few times but it had been banned in the late 80s after ABC tv mics picked up that chant on a national game
Metry Tiger is confusing the end part (coda) of fight for LSU with the original Tiger Rag
Fight for LSU has elements of Tiger Rag in it

Can we just add vulgarity to all of the Lady Gaga songs the band plays to get those banned ASAP?

It seems like I use to remember the band playing " Dixie" during the 60s and early 70s. Can anyone else remember this, or am I more senile that I think.

Quick somebody think of offensive language to sing during the pregame/four corner salute. Then we can eliminate TGFTL completely.

I don't think LSU band ever played it. It was one of Ole Miss's big songs for a long time, though.

So what, in the mid-1970s?
That may have been when it started, but somewhere in the mid to late 2000's, the administration said that if the students didn't stop, the song would not be played anymore. Students didn't stop, ergo, "Tiger Rag" is not played anymore.

FTR the vulgarity is much more of a problem during basketball telecasts

But since LSU sucks in basketball lately it hasn't been an issue
