Have you been to USC's stadium? -no
Have you been to the New Box?- ask me again in two weeks
Did you go to the Old Box?- religously when i lived there
Did you go to SC's old stadium?- not baseball
Have you experienced the fans at both stadiums?- redundant question
How is traffic at both stadiums?- at the box i tailgated for hours after the game, so never a problem
How is the food at both stadiums?- i think lsu went downhill when they signed the chartwell's agreeement
How do the toilets flush?- the troughs worked
Do their toilets flush automatically or do you pull the handle?- again, redundant
i see you are being an arse, fwiw

Ah. So, these are pretty much just matters of opinion. Fair enough.
(Except the field thing, it goes without saying that LSU is going to have shitty turf.

So shut it...and take my post for what it is...
You are the one that started this. You posted as FACT that their stadium is better, I disagree. If you post something on a message board, expect some flack.

is nicer than The New Box.
I have never been to SC's stadium; however, have been to every game at the New Box. Just from looking at SC's stadium on television, I would say that the only thing that looks better than the box is the field turf. The suites don't seem as nice and the stadium is smaller. Also, I don't like the way their bullpens are set up. As a fan who loves to harrass the opposing team's pitchers when they are warming up, you can't do it.

at least we dont have to cross a river on a bus to get there

I guess this is what I should expect coming from yourself...

I said this was a fact? Nope...I posted my opinion. I said it was better...but as it is my post, that is what I think. I didn't say it was measurable...

Are you the color guy from the game today?
He may have played baseball at SC but as much as he loved LSU you would have figured he was a Baton Rouge native.
And FYI the other guy (Mike Morgan) is the voice of Gamecock baseball and basketball.. so the commentators were certainley pro-SC for sure.

From what I saw on TV I thought Alex Box was much nicer...

I've said it before, but USC's stadium looks way too "cute". It just looks like they overthought everything.

I guess LSU prefers the manlier rusty ole stadium with torn up grass look?

Hah, nah. I'm talking more about the design of the stadium. Theres just too much: Berm/side berm, some huge concourse down the right that was basically empty, club seats on this porch really far back, extra high bleachers in LF, and the angled porch in the LF corner.
Its like they tried to take the best features of a bunch of stadiums and jumble them together. Don't get me wrong, its very nice just not something I like to see in a baseball stadium.

The new Box is an awesome facility, but not finished. Chairback seats will be installed down the first and third base lines to the outfield, 8 more suites will be added, and Skip said something about video boards being placed in the outfield......and from what i understood from what he said, they will be sorta like the halo boards on the sideline upper decks in Tiger Stadium. LSU is doing what Arkansas did with Baum Stadium, they are adding things in steps. Once all of these things, and more, are completed, I doubt there will be a more beautiful college baseball stadium in the country.
NOW......with that said, from what I could tell about Carolina's Stadium, it is also a beautiful facility. It looks to be right up there with the new Box, just some things are different, like the 360 view. All of the SEC's baseball stadiums are very nice, it's a preference as to who's is nicer...and there is nothing wrong with that. Ole Miss, State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt have top notch facilities also. There is nothing wrong with having the SEC known as The Premier College Baseball Conference in Americs.....the facilities prove it.
From what I get, from insiders, bleachers will probably be installed in the right outfield. A berm is still not written off, but i'm hearing that they are starting to lean towards bleachers. Bleachers would definitely be more comfortable and practical for fans sitting there because once the heat starts up, with a berm, fans out there will have to deal with bugs and insects, and if they have a game where it rained say that morning, the berm would probably be closed due to it getting torn up by fans. alot of things still have to be worked out, but once the Box is completed fully, it will be the top college baseball stadium in the country.
Bleachers in the right outfield would give the new Box more of a feeling of Rosenblatt. They have thought of that also.

One feature they have that I wish we had is radar gun reading on the scoreboard. that would be nice.

I really didn't pay much attention to their stadium on the tv today - I was too busy watching us score 11 runs and watching Ott make their hitters look like t-ballers. But I enjoyed the commentators, even if they were from SC.
