Why? This team has met or exceeded the 11 squad’s achievements.

In what way? The 2011 team started 13-0 and won the SEC as well. The 2011 team beat very good West Virginia and Oregon teams in non-conference games.

My point is, let's wait til this season is over and the story is written before we start to do this.

They look better because of Burrow but...

Both teams went undefeated in the regular season..

Have both won 13 games

Both SEC Champs.

So.... for now it's a tie.

Honestly I think this one.

This year’s defense is good enough to slow down the 2011 offense

And as great as the 2011 defense was, I don’t think they could stop this offense. They’d slow it down but not by enough.

Both teams at their peak, 2019 wins 27-21

I thought I clearly stated it was based on style points, more exciting play and entertainment.

Think 2019 defense is better than 2011 offense. If nothing else only because a bonehead is not calling defensive plays in 2019. In 2011, Les "pound the rock" Miles wanted to just run the ball. Also ever since Jefferson took over from Lee in the Bama game, the passing game went out through the window in 2011. Since the Ole Miss game this year, the defense has really looked sharp.

I think as it stands today, the 2019 team is the best since 2003 or perhaps even better.

For teams not know as Alabama, luck plays a big part in winning a NC. So we have to see

As good as that 2011 defense was I don't think they could stop the 2019 offense. That's not a knock on 2011, it's just that the 2019 offense is the best I have ever seen. They've put up wacky Hawaii or Texas Tech type numbers against SEC defenses.

Following LSU since 1967, considering talent and hoW it has been used, recruiting, coaches, record I would think the overall team of 2019 to be the best over that time span. The 2011 team was good but inept coaching and a inept QB in the BCS game kept it from being great. Miles acted like he didn't have a clue.
