Are you serious
"Too many varying times for kickoffs"
Jesus H Christ....you actually are saying that's why people don't go to the games? Bc they start at different times too often? Jeez.....

Maybe I missed a comment somewhere, but how about
9) Traffic
as a major reason to leave early.
I know I left the UF game last year and it took me almost 3 hours to get out of the traffic.
I left the Texans game on Sunday, and it took me 20 minutes.

All excuses. Hot, humid weather, traffic, and bleachers have been around for awhile

It all boils down to HDTV, if we're being honest.

Here's the thing....
The people that are pro "stay til the end" don't give a shite what the reasons are for people leaving. They want everyone to stay no matter what. I'm not even sure how many of these people actually go the game, but they sure as hell don't want you to leave.
This thread is about why people leave. If LSU addressed a few of these issues, it stands to reason that at least some of the people leaving would stay longer.
For instance... here's how fricked up the concessions are where I sit... The stands were being run by a local school and they had 10 year old dipshits working. They were trying to make change and couldn't do the math. Hell, they couldn't even reach the coke machine. This was making the lines incredibly long. LSU could fix this. It's an easy fix.
They could also spend a few bucks and redesign bathrooms. They could do this pretty easily.
Identify problems and fix them. That's how you get people to stay. Not bitching about it on a message board.

How many people in this thread actually have season tickets or complain from their couch about the crowd?

More on campus or next to campus hotels would help. I've stayed to the end when I am at Lodd Cook or Staybridge, both walking distance hotels.
Other than that, it's traffic, plain and simple. I do not want to sit in 3 hour grid lock just to get to the interstate to cross the 1968 new bridge. I have a 5 month old and a 2 year old...sitting in traffic is a no-go.

The number one problem is this: men are not men anymore. If the SO wants to leave after the golden girls are done, they leave. If the children are tired, they leave. If the kids have an event on Saturday, they don't go to the game. They are too worried about Instagram, snapchat of whatever else to pay attention to the game.
I'm all for people tailgating but don't take a ticket if you aren't going to go, yell, and stay the whole game. There are plenty of people who would love to go and can't afford it.

Put a dynamic team on the field that plays and executes to its potential and the stadium will fill. Les is the problem. Too often the product on the field looks like crap.

Specifically this year don't you think the flood has had a little something to do with attendance?

Even that isn't as much fun anymore with the excessive timeouts and piped in music.

I always complained about people leaving early but I dont disagree now especially knowing CLM is going to come out flat in the the second half and try to sit on a lead if he has one

What? It takes an entire fricking day and a lot of money to go through the process of going to games. To choose not to do that is "spoiled" ? How short sided of you.

If it is so stupid then why the frick havent we done crap in the second half of the past two games. It is because Les goes in the locker room and doesnt give two shits about putting more points on the board if he has a lead. People hate Nick Saban but the man bitches when he beats a team by 28 points cause he knows his team is capable of doing more. I want to see us go in at halftime and come out in full force not just let the defense shut them down and us give the ball right back cause we left our first half playbook in the locker room

That's kind of like going to a movie, watching the first hour or so and then saying "I think I know what will happen at the end. That's good enough for me."
It takes longer to get parked and settled in (in big games) than watching a movie period. That's a terrible analogy. I wish it was like going to the movies. It used to be that way, believe it or not.
You commit so many hours to get into campus. You get on campus and it's 3 or 4 hours until kickoff (if not all day). By halftime, you're looking at sometimes 6-7 hours already gone by (or for some, 12 hours). You experienced the chills of gameday, band marching down the hill, pregame, seen LSU kick arse for a few quarters, and it's now the 4th quarter. It's apparent that LSU is not so much interested in scoring as much as killing the clock with running up the middle. They got that.
For a better analogy, I've eaten my main meal and I'm full. I do not care to stick around for dessert (the final whistle and alma mater). But y'all go ahead. Hope it's as good as it looks. I've had that dessert for 30 some-odd years and just not up to it tonight. Not that I want to miss out on the whole meal, just don't want to stick around for dessert. I already paid my tab (season tickets) and paid the tip (TAF surcharge).
What in the frick is there not to understand about that? It's not like you show up for an hour and then leave. It's nowhere near that way. Unless you're a student and live on campus or something.

Without a doubt. EBR, Ascension, and Livingston lost alot. homes, vehicles, possessions of all kinds and not everybody is willing to take a break from cleaning up to attend the game. Or if they did go, their mind is not solely on the game, but what they have to do to get their lives back to normal, so leaving early from what looked like a blowout is no big deal these days. Far bigger issues for many people around BR than LSU football.
