Also, I don't think they'll be found guilty of 2nd degree battery...have a feeling it'll be reduced.

He'll get indefinite suspension, use his redshirt, and be Mett's backup next season.

I agree, he is young made a mistake and can learn from it. If this was an ongoing issue with him then I say see ya. I would not make the reinstatement an easy or quick thing though.

Then they watch the game from a jail cell.

Does LSU except felons. I mean he is still innocent until proven. But if he excepts simple battery, misdemeanor, does LSU kick him out of school. Or red shirt.

Don't think you can redshirt a guy if he's missing games due to suspension. Wouldn't seem right to me.

Indefinite suspension until everything comes out of the wash with the current developments.

Well, I don't think miles is going to ask your opinion and meet and JJ in 2012 > meet and rivers

I'd hate for Jefferson's career as a Tiger to end this way. This is a mistake he must suffer the consequences for but I hope LSU allows him a path of redemption. I think it would serve better team morale for Jefferson to have the opportunity to stand on the field with his teammates again. It would be a moment for our fans to unite for our players together. All this Jefferson hate needs to stop, he is a Tiger. We should support forgiveness and redemption.

If he doesnt play this year, he can redshirt. The only way I see him coming back this year is if Lsu is struggling for bowl eligibility and JJ has served 6+ games with lee and meet struggling

If he's guilty that means he lied.
He put himself above this program team fans and most impertsbtly his coach, who has done absolutley nothing but stick by this guy for 3 yrs now.
I hope he never puts on uniform again.
Let's move frwd.

Probably this. It's a fight that went to far. I don't think Miles (or anyone) actually believes the initial reports that the marine was just stepping in to help some people he didn't know and that the football players started it all. Since that is the case, it's a bar fight that got crazy. It deserves punishment, but probably not complete removal from the team.
ETA: I forgot that it looks like he lied about his involvement. That may change things.

Accept felons...of course not. But the BRPD's actions have left doubt in the minds of many. If in the end the felony charge sticks, then they're gone.
