This. Baseball can be very humbling.

That team had no pitching. The bats were pretty hot and that's how they got to 32-6. Then the bats struggled and couldn't overcome the bad pitching.

This team is completely different.

However, I saw the 2010 team get off to a 32-6 start, looking like a lock for a national seed, only to lose 16 of their final 23 and not even host. Therefore, I'm going to keep my optimism somewhat guarded. Baseball is a funny game.

The 2 teams are not comparable.

Everyone is putting the bat on the ball consistently except for Ross. When the hits start dropping for JaCoby this lineup will stellar.

Columbia will be in the mid to upper 50s, low 60s by next weekend. Snow won't stick around long at this time of year.

I can't even remember the '10 season. Was it so bad I blocked it out?

I understand that. This team is better that one by a good margin. But we are not going to roll over everyone each weekend. Middle relief still concerns me.

Yes, being consistent is the key. Winning 2 of 3 next weekend is what the Tigers need to do.

In fact, if a baseball team could win 2 of 3 every series, they would be in great shape.

Very frustrating season. Started out like we were going back to Omaha and then the bottom fell out.
