That same team who put up 45 on Texas, put up 48 on Georgia in the playoffs and only lost in overtime.

Well that's not exactly true.

The voters see that Auburn and Miami just aren’t that good now.

Texas

Maryland (3-2) 34-29 L
Tulsa (1-3) 28-21 W
USC (2-3) 37-14 W
TCU (3-2) 31-16 W
@KSU (2-4) 19-14 W
Oklahoma (5-1) 48-45 W

Combined Opponents Record (16-15)

LSU

Miami (N) (5-1) 33-17 W
SELA (2-4) 31-0 W
@Auburn (4-2) 22-21 W
La Tech (3-2) 38-21 W
Ole Miss (4-2) 45-16 W
@Florida (5-1) 27-19 L

Combined Opponents Record (23-12)

I know we just lost and they just won their biggest game, but this just shows the insanity of college football polls. Oklahoma, by far their biggest win, has a losing record among their combined opponents.

We are probably about the 13th best team. It will not matter with the schedule we have left. Rankings will only matter for teams with iffy schedules that will never be us.
Win the rest of the games and we are ranked top 4 for sure, win the playoff games and we are KING.

Can't see why anyone is worried about rankings at this time.

If LSU doesn’t have a top 10 win then neither does Texas

I agree with this. Miami and Auburn are barely top-25 teams. Texas' win over OU is the most impressive win of the season

Why? Your opinion of OU as the "most impressive win" is based solely on their preseason ranking. OU was probably the most overrated team in the country when they played Texas. Remember they needed OT to beat Army, a black knights team that lost by 20 to Duke.
