You either coach it or you allow it

That’s because he’s a poor coach.

If the coach can’t get his players to focus in the last 2 minutes of a ballgame, it is totally his fault. Motivation is definitely a part of coaching last I checked

Total meltdown by the players. Last two minutes looked like they were passing a hand grenade around. Called a time out and drew up a great play gets to the line and bricks two free throws.

Partially agree. But as Skip said, "son, it's not your fault we lost the game. It's my fault for ever offering you a freaking scholarship".
It's MM's fault that he doesn't have a single take charge leader on this team. Someone that says give me the ball, I'll win this game. And then has the talent and knowhow to do it!
It's MM's fault that he went can't handle the ball cleanly and we make the weakest passes 3-4 X per game that you have ever seen by adult players. Basically just hand the defense the ball with a chance for runouts.
It's MM's fault that we dribble, dribble, dribble most of the shot clock away and then either get a crappy low percentage shot or committ shot clock violation(which we normally do 3-4 X per game). Can't win not getting shots off that have achance of going in.
It's MM's fault that either our players haven't been taught, or they are too stupid to know how to work against double teams. Either give the ball up BEFORE THE DOUBLETEAM or SPLIT THE DOUBLE TEAM ON A STRONG DRIBBLE. Instead we do what every decent coach of a 10 y o teams teaches, NEVER TAKE THE BALL TO THE CORNER OR THE SIDELINE AND PICK UP YOUR DRIBBLE WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE YOU ARE GOING WITH THE BALL IMMEDIATELY. But we have 4-5 TO's from this crap every game.
And then there is the freaking rush to put up bad shots when we are needing to calm down, run clock and get a really good look at the goal.
But I don't know, maybe the 18 coaches we have don't have enough time to teach these young men all these fine points of the game that have been around since we werr retrieving balls out of peach baskets! After all they spend all their time studying and worrying if they have enough money to get a pizza with their girl, and writing letters home to Mom, etc. Guess 20 hours/week of required basketball activities PLUS all the voluntary time they need just isn't enough.

You need to learn something called extreme ownership. McLoser is the leader, the failure of the team is on him. It’s his fault that he didn’t call a time out and get it under control. His fault he doesn’t train the players properly.

McHallman is absolutely the basketball doppelganger of football Curley.

We were up at half. That's the most moral of all the moral victories we've had.
