in 2016 he lost at home to a 14 point underdog that was missing tons of defensive starters.

last year he took a team with the 2nd most NFL draft picks(247 labeled lsu the 6th most talented team in cfb)against the easiest schedule he will ever have at lsu and he lost 4 games.

He did well rallying the troops after Miles was fired and imo he’s done a solid job at building up the roster. He must prove he can win from start to finish. Not just rebound when things look bleak

he has never thrown more than 9 passes in a game.
6 of his 10 games he had 5 or less pass attempts.

He took over a program that had won less than 10 games only once in the previous six seasons, three straight top 5 recruiting classes, the best DC in the country, and pretty much a blank check to hire any staff he wants.

He has the chance. And with all the pieces it could be a good season. Is Ensminger going to get it done over time? Can O be the leader young men need, or will he obscurely slam Red Bull’s and smash them over his head? People don’t change. I don’t suspect it will work over the long term, but I hope I am wrong. In the world I, most of us, play in we would not hire a proven failure. I just hope that if this goes down hill everyone who made the decisions will be held accountable. No different in business if you make a series of bad hires.
