If I remember correctly, 24 is the average age of their offense.
No 5 stars is sort of misleading.
No 5 stars out of high school.
This team does not lack talent & I would bet multiple 5 star rated players now.

Top coaching from every position coach and the HC is as important now as ever. Indiana was the antithesis of what LSU had for a coaching staff this year. the results tell the story.

Ohio State also plays a soft schedule and is one of those teams the media loves to beat their chest and prop up in polls.
they, along with many others in college football, recruit well because of the hype they receive 24/7. Notre Dame, Texas, aTm, Oklahoma, Georgia, Dabo U

A Heisman winning QB that is extremely accurate (most important) and can run and not be so old school you don't use him much helps a lot.
Not to mention being, on their worst day, "solid" in the trenches so that the QB can be utilized (that's where your OP comes into the picture)

I get it. They would struggle against the greatest college football team ever. We’re not talking about that. That team was lightning in a bottle. This team is dominating the best teams in the post NIL and transfer portal era and doing it with 3 star ranked players. Only 8 4 stars on the entire roster. LSU, Oregon, Bama, OSU had 40+ on their roster.

It helps having Mark Cuban funding your program as well.

The reason for their success is coaching. Cignetti and his staff is simply better than the other team’s.

Average age of IU players. 23.8
So no that’s not the reason . It’s fabricated out of internet lore
Actual average age of all semifinal teams starters
Indiana 23.2
Oregon 22.3
Miami 22.6
Ole miss 22
