yes, i am very much against thinking.
If by that you mean thinking that it is ok to print something which obscures and ignores the facts so much so that it borders on fiction.
The Reveille has some talented writers who represent themselves very well and write thought-provoking articles which, while i may not disagree with some, i value them for their perspective.
My gf actually worked there, albeit briefly. She quit because while there are many talented and responsible reporters there, the powers that be in the organization have their own highly liberal, truth-be-damned agenda.

Actually, I am glad outsiders come here and check out what is going on. It is good to have a neutral perspective on things. I think he is on the money with his assessment of our fans.

I took exception to it until I read the article and saw that the comment was a direct quote from Brandon Lafell. IF you have a problem with the headline you should also be bothered by Lafell's comment.

it wasnt that she disagreed with what other people were doing and couldnt stand to be there. She's greek and they asked her to write a story about someone who had recently been kicked out of a fraternity and told her it was because he was gay and they wanted her to write a piece bashing that organization.
She happened to be best friends with the person and knew that he had dropped out for financial concerns because of his parent's financial situation. he hadnt ever come out to anyone while he was in the fraternity. my gf is also good friends with many of the officers of that fraternity, all of whom said that it was his decision and they would not have kicked him out even had they known. She refused to write that type of story and they wouldnt let her change it soo...

So basically what this thread is advocating is having every article run through the athletic director's office first for approval. This in effect becomes an advertisement vs opinion.
I see this as representative of our society's need to be protected from any dissenting opinions. People need to really think what they are asking for. Disagree with the article fine, ask for it to squashed because it doesn't follow the Pro LSU guidelines- very scary.
