Even handed. Thanks.

In 2005 he took a chance on Perriloux
This is one part I disagree with. As far as I know, there was no reason to doubt Perrilloux when he was being recruited.

I hope you're right.
But, from where I'm sitting, you look a little further out on the branch.
There's no doubt the D is improved, and I would expect them to keep us in the games such as Alabama and Florida, or anyone else for that matter.
We had a pretty good D against Arkansas a couple years ago too. We face a guy with a history of out-coaching us late in the season, followed by another one with a pretty good offensive track record.
The offense is going to have to score to win. Your prediction requires more "ifs" than mine.
I really hope I'm wrong, but I saw some serious frustration from the players last night that had epidemic written all over it.

Here's another thing about this to think about. If you run Miles off there is no gaurantee you get a better coach and chances are you do not. My guess is you probabaly get another Dinardo or Hallman. Alot of guys can come from a smaller conference with a good record where football means nothing and fall on their face here. Look at Florida, Alabama, Georiga, and Ole Miss for instance. All 4 of those teams have been disappointing on offense this year particularly in big games. Is it poor coaching or QB play or just the quality of defenses? I'm going with quality of defenses.
YOu like Les as a person and recruiter and I think he'll eventually get good enough play out of his QB to win the West again but he needs everyones support and not people second guessing b/c he's lost a couple close games to #1 and #2.

You guys have this standard of excellence etched in your brains from what Saban did.
maybe a standard of competing, but not a standard of winning games...at least not a realistic representation of what actually happened under Saban as far as W/L:
2000: 8-4
2001: 10-3
2002: 8-5
2003: 13-1
2004: 9-3

Miles has not recruited a quality QB since he got here. Three stars do not cut it at this level at the QB position. Add to the fact that Crowton can not develop a QB and we have the mess we see today. Our QBs, #9 and #12, are not kids that can win a SECCG.
