On ESPN earlier it showed Tenn being the #1 seed in the SEC tourney if everything stays like it is today, how is that??

Well they technically have a .5 game lead on LSU at the moment.

Tied again if LSU beats Florida Wednesday night.

They had the same bogus information pop up last week. Just ignore them. They're incompetent and their journalistic credibility jumped the shark long ago.

Much of this anti-LSU sentiment seems to be derived from the little bitch Jay "don't call me Jason" Williams. Apparently, Will Wade must have banged his wife or something.

Who needs a written tie breaker? We beat both head to head. They can claim whatever they want but we will be champs.

Exactly. Whoever earns the #1 seed, via tie-breaker scenario, in SEC tournament = the true SEC Champion.

If LSU wins at Florida and beats Vandy, LSU wins the SEC outright by tiebreaker over Tennessee.

SEC championship can be shared.

LSU wins out and have the same conference record as Tenn then LSU should be the Conf champ since they beat Tenn on the court. Should be no co championship in that case. I just want LSU to go deep into the SEC and the NCAA tournament's. I believe they are good enough to win both. And that's what people remember the most, what a team does in the post season, not the reg season.

Pretty sure that Tennessee claimed co-champions with Auburn last year after Auburn beat them in the regular season. It’s kind of sad tbh

I’m assuming both teams get a trophy then.

Will we still claim it

WTF is wrong with you people? You don't have to "claim" any championship that has actually been awarded to you.

That's how it is in all sports. The tiebreakers only determine seeding in a tournament or who is the conference rep in the football championship. Officially, Ole Miss is a champion of the SEC West in 2003 but LSU won head to head so they win the tie breaker and go to ATL. Just like in 1996, 1997 and 2002.....officially are deemed West champs but lose a tiebreaker to go to ATL. That's how the SEC Office does it.

Obviously this needs a rule change. Don't look for Wade to complain to the SEC like Calipari or 'lil bitch' Barnes though. Geaux Tigers!

No rule change is needed bc the SEC tourney champion is also named (and there will be only 1). Honestly since everyone does not play each other the same amount of times, I think multiple reg season champs works just fine. Plus even though the SEC doesn’t do tiebreakers for league champ, they do for tourney seeding and that is really all that matters.
