Not true. But you should do your own research

Strength of schedule alone prevents that discussion from taking place.

Actually you should.

Outside the covid year, Saban could only manage an undefeated season once, in 2009.

Notice they did not mention 2020 Bama, which was the pundits' previous offensive comparison to the 2019 LSU offense. Cross that one off the list.

Got to drive the ratings.

Sooo...2 undefeated seasons? You're the one who said 'always'.

Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, etc would score how ever many points they needed to win. No way Indiana would outscore that 2019 LSU team.

This is the dumbest argument I've seen since the 2020 Bama team. Indiana would get stomped by 20+ by 2019 LSU it's not even close . And how do you know, they play 2019 LSU schedule and they probably lose 3 or more games. The competition isn't the same and don't compare , and how do I know you have a 2 loss Miami team who lost to SMU and Louisville and probably should have lost more games playing for a natty. Stop the madness it is flattering though to constantly be compared because that's how you know that team was legendary and one for the all times

Texas team that played LSU in game 1

We played them game 2. We were smart enough then to play Georgia Southern week 1 for tune up.

LSU played 7 Top Ten teams that year, never trailed in the 4th quarter, beat 5 Top Five teams by an average of 20 points, and no team ever had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to go ahead. Miami 2001 might make a case, but they played only 5 Top 20 teams and 1 Top 5/10 teams.

It seems that LSU is always having to defend something, but this is one area that should never be challenged or have a necessity to defend. The record speaks for itself, and if people that want to push this find Indiana team as having performed to the level of LSU 2019, then let them have at it....they will always fall short regardless of whatever metric they want to compare.
LSU fans should not even engage in the conversation....the correct answer is way more than obvious.

IU fans have only been watching football for two years. They can’t help but be cursed with having a recency bias.

To paraphrase Will Smith-

"Get the 2019 Tigers out of your IU loving mouth!"
