So your saying LSU is on par with Portland State?

Stats in scrimmages vs a defense without Key.

I watched them. They sucked vs Portland state. But they do have a game under their belt and we don't. The biggest improvement is between game 1 and 2 for most teams. I'm sure they kept it as vanilla as possible to not show LSU anything. This is an advantage for them.
This so illogical from a play calling and experience standpoint. It's counterintuitive not to attempt plays you hope to run versus a superior opponent. Especially in a live game context against PS. Would you expect Canada to not get his players some live experience with the offense before playing Alabama? No you wouldn't expect that because that would be stupid.
Did you even watch the game? BYU couldn't even keep the QB upright unless they rolled him out the pocket. They may run more creative plays because their offense was exposed last Saturday, but only because the offense has their back against the wall.

my response to a BYU fan:
quote:
the fact your WR's cannot get seperation will allow us to run blitz and pass blitz you into oblivion. we can just key on your RB. Your Qb cannot run. that takes away zone reads and power reads outside and inside. it takes away RPO's with the QB as well. go ahead and run your inside and outside zone runs. you better pray they work to open up your pass game. you better hope your line gives him time AND your WR's get seperation. I simply do not see that. now you may burn us on a few blitzes. few blown coverages. but it is far easier for young kids to play man and pin their ears back than certain zones from a mental standpoint.

LSU has a lot of players missing on defense. A thin offensive line and Etling has looked shaky at best as quarterback this offseason. Do not be shocked if LSU is losing in the second half. I hope LSU comes to play.
