Haha TOPS doesn’t not equal the scholarship money Vandy can throw at kids. You seem to forget TOPS only applies for LA kids, while LA produces good talent most elite talent comes from out of state kids who can’t get TOPS.

If the championships didnt matter, why did you wait till minutes after the championship game was over to post this?
It is funny that some of you dont recognize the advantages vandy has, which is why corbin will stay there. Ive said plenty of times i think he is a better cosch than PM. With that said, diminishing PM as average while he is in the HOF is pretty funny

NO ONE does less with more every year than Corbin! He get's to have more than 11.7 paid players and has some of the top pitchers year in and year out and he underachieves! let's not act like he's the next Skip Bertman GTFOH!

Corbin started at Vandy in 2003. He has 2 CWS titles, 4 CWS appearances, 4 SEC titles and 2 SEC tourney titles.
Mainieri started at LSU in 2007. He has 1 CWS title, 5 CWS appearances, 4 SEC titles and 6 SEC tourney titles. (plus he had a CWS appearance at Notre Dame)
Also, vandy is CLEARLY superior over the last decade at the cws so the two programs are not trending in the same direction

Absolutely correct! Anybody that watched the CWS and actually thinks that LSU is on the same level, currently, as Vandy is living in a dream world. I like CPM and think he is a good guy (so is Les Miles) but it is time to move on and get someone in who can energize the program and get it back where it should be.

it's more than that. I noticed Vandy had 8 seniors on their roster this year. Eight! all starters or pitchers. LSU had 2. Vandy juniors tend to stay instead of head for the draft. it appears they value that degree from Vandy as that is very lucrative in the long run.

I never said he wasn’t. Corbin is a better coach than Mainieri and is the best coach in college baseball. There is an argument for second best though and you could argue Mainieri as being the second best coach in college baseball. Y’all act as if Mainieri is just some God awful coach

A free degree from Vandy is worth far more than a free degree from LSU. The state and F King have made sure that LSU will never be a flagship anything.
That is an advantage Vandy has over LSU and oh by the way Vandy can give more free degrees out than LSU for baseball.
Most kids know they are not gonna make millions in the pros so where would you rather have a degree from?

I’m not familiar with the recruiting rankings outside of LSU, but I would think we have more talent year in and year out than any of those programs except for maybe OSU.
