So you are in agreement that we would beat Auburn again if we played?

Now this just pisses me off. If you can't see how much that defense grew throughout the season then you need to step back and let the adults speak. Inconsistencies from game to game are expected when you have to stick TWO true freshmen on the corner islands while tweaking almost every other position from DT to OLB. Even the safeties had to be shuffled from time to time for different reasons.
Losing two SEC games by a field goal and the third one to Bama in their house is not exactly the worst of the preseasons predictions that we saw on this board.

Did we see the same defense? That defense played like shite throughout the entire season.
While it wasn't the usual top 5 lsu defense, we finished the season as a top 20 total defense. Hardly shite.

At least we beat Aub. bama sure didn't!
Also I wish we didn't play down to Ark-kansas every year.

What DID we do? 3rd place in the SEC West. Sorry that I have higher expectations than that.
All off season the consensus on this board was to expect 3 losses. Some were even picking one of those losses to be to Ole Miss.
It actually happens, and suddenly people are bitching that the team didn't exceed expectations.
Unfortunately the losses on defense hurt our chances at a championship. I'm just glad the offense was able to step up like they did.
Even with Mett's first half mistakes against Ole Miss, he still put us in position to win that game. The defense shite the bed at the end of that one.

Negative, the spread run attack (aTm and Auburn) is what we are best at shutting down. The smash mouth, run it right at us teams, are the ones we struggle against. We are a horrible match up for aTm and Auburn and the arse whooping we put on both of them was no fluke.

You suck as a fan. Sorry you can't enjoy a 14 point victory over a team that is playing for the NC, a team that almighty Saban and Bama couldn't beat. Sure LSU "stepped off the gas", it was raining and LSU COMPLETELY dominated them the entire game despite allowing some late "cosmetic points", big frickin deal. Would winning by 21, 24, 35 points have made you feel better about yourself? LSU CRUSHED the SEC champion and possible National Champion and all you can do is complain that the win wasn't "big enough". YOU are what is wrong with this fanbase.

You want to cite how Auburn played better than LSU did down the stretch, but Auburn's and LSU's games against UGA could've easily went the other way. Are you really trying to say beating UGA later in the year is more impressive than when LSU had to face them? Not even a week after Auburn needed a lucky deflection to beat them, LSU trounces A&M. I'm really not sure why you use this to validate that Auburn would've ran LSU out of the building if they played later in the season.
Still waiting.

I'll give you the Iron Bowl and LSU's unnecessary close game over Arkansas, but that's football. Different weeks, different teams. It's not complicated.
Right - "that's football" pretty much sums up my argument. Each team played differently on the last week of the (regular) season than they did when they played each other earlier.

Sucks that our biggest win Didn't even feel like a big win.
Negatardiness is a viscous cycle. First you can't be happy when LSU wins. Then, you can't be happy when you realize the win was fun.

Timing is everything. We probably lose to Auburn if we play them later in the season, they got much better over the course of the season and have really hit their stride. Now if the game was later in the season and had a downpour like it did earlier in the season, then maybe still get the same result.

Always pray for rain now in TS!
If all remains the same and AU comes in to TS undefeated of course changes the entire dynamics from the real game that was played but I still don't see them beating us in TS.
Next season though will be the test at JHS as we could both be undefeated and they will be hell bent revenge regardless the outcome Jan. 7th!

Here is the list of BCS teams with more than 5 wins that Auburn beat by more than a score in the regular season:
[END OF LIST]
But yea, they pulled away late against a solid but not great Missouri team in the SECCG that one other time you watched them play so they obviously would've destroyed LSU....

The Issue is LSU can play like World Beaters or Like a CUSA team in the same month; several times a season. ?
Nice job against AU and AM, horrible against Ole Miss, quit against Bama....when will Les and his staff figure that out ?

A bunch of stupid up in here
We beat AU and all this "what if" shite is dumb
LSU also was close to beating a full strength UGA
AU had a few lucky wins but it's a win non-the-less
