Some of OUR OWN PLAYERS think it was cool- while the crybaby segment of the Rant continues to show their immaturity by saying anyone who thinks this was a nice gesture is a loser. Now who is really supporting who? Nice job, kids.

If a reporter asks a loaded question like "hey how cool was it of box fans to shake hands with the other team and cheer them on?" What do you expect them to say "nah I thought it was pretty lame and cheesy" ?

Baseball is not different. Stop saying this like it is true.

Do you think Yankee fans high five the Sox after getting beat?

Do you think Cub fans high five the Cards after a loss?

It's just here in Baton Rouge, where everybody feels they have to nurture college baseball, where anybody would remotely consider high-fiving the team that just ended the Tiger's season.

The Rant must think Mason is a pussy too then, right?

Meanwhile, LSU's OWN PLAYERS get to sit in the dugout watching LSU fans high five the visiting team. Real classy. But thats what they deserve for losing, right?

Tyler Hanover took time out of his morning to make a post on his twitter thanking LSU and the fans for the greatest 4 years of his life. He doesn't seem to be as bothered by it as you do.

thats not the case though. A better similarity would be the yankees losing to AA or A league team and the fans actually appreciating the hard work those guys put into the series

also, do people not realize a lot of fans left the stands to go line up and wait for the LSU players to leave the locker room and go out to the parking lot?

I guarantee you it was a ton, and the players got a ton of support and "thanks for a great season/career"

stop acting like our players got 0 support. there were nearly 11,000 people on a sunday night cheering for them

They also seem to believe they're better than football fans "ohhh baseball is just different than football, we're better because we like applaud other teams for good efforts and stuff."

It can't happen in football because there is nobody left in the stadium at the end of the game since they all leave early.

I get it. Everyone else is a douche, so we should be too. Way to take the high road.

A reporter didn't ask Katz about it though. He brought it up himself on his twitter.

Comparing two long time rivals in professional baseball to what happened in the collegiate level is not even close to being the same thing.

Oh, Okay- sorry.

I didn't realize he was speaking into the microphone of a Twitter Sports Network reporter.

Noted.

Maybe not, but road fans didn't go around cheering for the TB rays when they suddenly climbed out of the toilet and started beating everyone's arse.

I just don't understand how this is even worth being as raging mad as some people seem to be about it. Those fans that congratulated Stony Brook after the game didn't cheer any less for the Tigers during the game. Is it something you see at other places? Probably not. Does that make it wrong? No.

Do you typically hang around at parties to thank people for gifts that you gave them?

We gave the no gift. They beat us and did it in a hard playing classy way.

That type of attitude at the box gives us the image we all want as LSU fans.
