47 would be better. He's been to an LSU Football game before.

Understatement.
Anything criminal should be expedited.
Not necessarily. In many instances a speedy trial helps the State a lot more than the accused because of the resources of the State. The defense generally needs time to find expert testimony and other evidence of innocence to refute the State's evidence.
Likewise, if you are not in prison many times defendants will waive their right to a speedy trial because it keeps them out of prison while awaiting trial.

Someone said the DA is John Randall Belton's dad, was that false??

Michael Small
If that's the same Mike Small I know of, he's regarded as legit.
Big deal cases can easily take a year or two to get into trial posture, too. The more complicated and evidence there is (multiple body cams, numerous witnesses and their statements especially if recorded, ballistics testing, possible suppressions, other evidentiary motions, working on expert witnesses), the more pretrial dates you need to get the matters all fleshed out.
Often, too, there is evidence the prosecutor doesn't have that defense needs. Idk any details here the public doesn't know btw, but a lot can go into a case.

B) i don’t care if he didn’t actually shoot. Why are you riding around farmer-fricking-ville Louisiana with people who are actively trying to shoot at a WOMAN? Make better choices kid. Transfer portal is that way.
It seems like their best case scenario legally is just to say he was there but didn’t participate. If you are hanging around people who are committing drive by’s, there might be some deeper issues there… not sure why he’s even still on the team.

Why plead guilty of something one did not do. The courts are completely corrupt. DAs routinely over charge defendants despite being the only officers of the courts who are sworn to do justice. They risk nothing by way of misconduct. If they and the judges and police were held personally liable for misdeeds most of this BS goes away.

Mike Small is a very good and very experienced attorney but he is getting old.
He has an excellent reputation across the state and you're correct that he's a very good and experienced attorney. What does "getting old" mean? Are you suggesting that his age has affected his ability to represent clients?

Initially charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection to a February shooting, the grand jury dismissed that charge in April. However, Holly still faces charges of illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property.
So now they are going all in on making him suffer on the 2 lesser charges that would have been plead down to probation in a normal case already.

Maybe Joe Biden can pardon him so he can make Spring ball.

If the prosecutor wanted an indictment on the heavier charge, the prosecutor would have gotten it.

Always a conspiracy theorist. Are you not following all this shite?

Making him suffer?
What if, and this might be crazy, they have significant evidence that he committed these crimes?

The incident happened at the apartment complex where he lives.
He wasn't driving by or with people driving by shooting up the 'hood.
