Yea. I’m not sure if he trying to do too much or just not recognizing the pitch out the hand.
Some at bats you can tell he is seeing it well out the hand and lays off that pitch. Seems like it changes each at bay if he seeing it well or not.
To be clear I’m not one of the guys thinking he is struggling. My comments are strictly for when he chases that outside slider. Tough pitch to handle.

I’m sure jay and Dylan know what they need to work on. He’s still just a sophomore correct. He can still get better and it’s obvious what his one weakness is. Hopefully they have plenty of drills, techniques, technology , ect. To work on it

It’s crazy that Cruz is a sophomore. If you throw him a fastball and leave it up , it’s just about guaranteed to be game over for you

Why do we have such idiot fans make comments about Crews? So he got caught off guard by a curve ball. It happens. With him, it might happen 6 times out of 10, but he is still a major league hitter (as is anyone that bats near .400). I wish our part-time fans understood baseball.

Crews will figure it out. He hit off speed last year but this guy was throwing stuff with some bite. Travinski hasn’t had enough at bats over the last 12 mos with injuries.
