Not being an arse but I watch every Lsu game and none of the bullpen has been much better than tonight since all of the injuries. Tonight was not bc it was the bottom of the bullpen it’s just what the bullpen has been period.

Nope. They don't matter at all. We all just wasted 3 hours. I can't believe LSU even played Dylan Crews in a meaningless game that they didn't even want to win a little bit.

You can spin it however you want, but Cooper and Hurd both threw, and those are two arms that we are going to need if we are going to make a run. Unfortunately, Hurd can’t seem to figure it out.

You threw your ace out there in the 9th in a midweek game, That’s the equivalent of LSU putting skenes out there.

I’ll get down voted to hell I know and told I’m over reacting to tonight but it really isn’t about tonight.
LSU doesn’t have the pitching to do what they want to this season. They arnt winning the title. I don’t even expect them to make Omaha. And if your honest with yourselves, winning the regional isn’t a guarantee. That’s how bad the pitching staff is outside of Skenes. The bullpen is atrocious and LSU has no 2nd or 3rd starter worth a damn.this is all ontop of the defense nose diving since the start of SEC play. Us bragging about fielding percentage rank feels like a century ago. LSU is ranked towards the bottom of the conference in SEC play
The regional format demands MORE pitching especially if you drop a game. Yes, LSU offense is great and they’ve been dragging the team to wins. But expecting them to continue dragging the team through a regional and super regional or more against what will be the best competition, is insane.
It’s pretty obvious shores and edwards are done for the year. Nate coming back is going to help but the pen will still be atrocious as whole. One person doesn’t change that.
Jay Johnson needs to process some of these guys in the offseason and kill it in the pitching transfer portal.

For fricks sake, he is a reliever. He’s not one of their weekend starters.

Yes, I know when I have an ACE on the staff, I start him one time in two years. I actually like to primarily use him as middle reliever for most of his career.

ULL didn’t see any of the relievers that will be relied upon in a weekend series.
Also not to mention Coleman could be a bigger story going forward than LSU losing a game to ULL.

LSU may see UL in a regional if UL can finish top 3 in sun belt or win the tournament. They have yet to win a series vs a decent opponent, but tonight was a big boost to their RPI.
