White will be picked in the first round and will have a good shot at the MLB. Sure he has things to work on, but he clearly has a MLB level bat.
edit: I'm not arguing anymore over one of the best hitters we've had here at LSU.

Preseason rankings are irrelevant. LSU benefits on name alone there.
I was ALWAYS concerned about the lineup this season. Lost way too many bats to overcome, IMO. At least not without one more proven DUDE. People keep crapping on the pitching, but it was fine, especially when it mattered most.
LSU was one more dude away from being legit though. I think if they had gotten a guy like Montgomery they win a few more SEC games and they would have been hosting a regional.

Thanks Cheer, JML and Rabbit for all the great work all season. This game thread had me in stitches all year. Mighty proud of our Tigers. Most on this board more knowledgable than me all things baseball BUT I trust that JJ managed this team like the master he is.
Indeed our D in the outfield cost us the game.
No one feels worst than Jake (don't forget his HR had us leading till the 9th)
I like our chances to return to Omaha next season.
