Exactly. Giving them innings against midweek scrubs isn’t going to show him anything. He’s got to find another couple of bullpen arms that he can trust.

Guess you missed a few Skip Bertman games in the 90s…… I personally watched Skip let a closer give up 5 runs in the 9th in a midweek…..said Closer won a game in Omaha…..

Depends. Was there a weather delay that caused Skenes to be pulled after 3 innings? Did LSU just lose their top bullpen arm two days before said game?

Yeah, I like Jay but putting Dutton in a 3-1 game was questionable and putting Bucknam in a 3-1 game was just flat punting on the game. It was disappointing...

You’re one of those guys that gets upset when anyone critiques the team after they play bad? I have never acted like any of the losses this year were the end of the world.

Bottom line is this is stupid because you are never conceding games withe this offense.
The rotation was designed to preserve but we just didn’t pitch. These guys are all top tier talent pitchers.
It’s time to grab your balls and show up when it’s your turn on the mound.

We've seen opposing coaches do this countless times in Alex Box.
Some of you are confusing the later innings with what happened much earlier in the game. No one is suggesting we should have brought in a top arm after Bucknam. It’s the decision to go to him, or even Dutton, to begin with.
