I think he's probably and upgrade over what we have, but I'm not sure it's a make or break thing for LSU. I like that he's been on a championship caliber team for 3 years and can bring that experience to the QB room though.

what do you think pushes a potential recruit away from lsu faster?
anonymous posters on a message board that may not even be a lsu fan or
paying $850,000 to get manhandled by a mid major for homecoming during a season where your head coach said we were going to the playoffs?
Honest answer:
These guys have been playing ball for years and have likely experienced unexpected brain fart type losses.
They have probably not experienced what appears to be a large number of fans absolutely shitting on coaches, players, and all aspects of the program to the point of wishing doom and carnage just to prove a point.
And while they should be able to keep it in perspective it's difficult these days with social media where it's all there in black and white.

I don't think these modern kids even care about these boards. They spend all day on Twitter, SnapChat and Instagram. They troll fan bases and have fun with it all. Seriously doubt any one of them make a decision based on these message boards. Too easy for people to impersonate a particular fan base and spout off untruths.
People get more worked up about these recruits potentially getting worked up, than the recruits actually get worked up. Too many people on here take themselves way too seriously.

Great post and I agree about O with ole miss. He wasn’t ready to be s HC ok. But the flack he catches when so many people don’t realize how tied his hands were. He never had a chance and they didn’t accept O and give him a fair shot. It was ole miss n there worst times so much different than when O got the LSU job. I like Sullivan and Craig hire. And I’m pulling for E. So I believe this offensive staff can improve the offense and qb play. As far as O. He’s the HC at LSU so I’m pulling for him. He did awesome rebounding programs on the brink of disaster. But last year he bombed early only to rebound as he always does then fall flat n the ND game. O imo nutted up and that was the last thing fans needed to see. But I believe he deserves a fair shake this season. He recruited his trenches and got his guys on staff. Time for him to prove himself and it’s a perfect season to see what he can do with this gauntlet

This is where you are wrong.
The coaching staff is not unproven.
O is a proven failure as head coach. And Ensminger was a failed OC, 2 decades ago.

He’s not a proven loser HERE. And that’s all anyone here should be worrying about. Why worry about things that took place when you were 7?

I assume he still has a couple more visits to make elsewhere no?

Because he’s leading our program with no credentials. Because he clearly doesn’t have the ability to do so. Because he’s going against proven winners. Because his past can be used against him in recruiting.
I could go on.

The truth is that this is an argument that should never have had to be made in a million years, Ed Orgeron should have never been hired. This was a failure of the administration.

Way too many trolls on this board.

If there is one thing LSU fans may be better at than hyping themselves up irrationally before inevitably being let down, it’s having this arrogance that certain things that are near universal amongst big football programs (insufferable fans, difficult schedules, attrition and transfers) are issues solely unique to LSU.
If you think Joe Burrow hasn’t seen tOSU fans that are off their fricking meds spewing all kind of hateful shite out into the internets, well I got some beach front property in Columbus, Ohio for you.

I agree with this but what I don’t get is the hatred for O. O did what any of us on this board would have done. He had an opportunity to possibly get the head coaching job at LSU and took advantage of it. Why is it his fault the administration failed the search? He is working hard to try and win. Will he be able to do it? I’ll let you know in December. I believe this season will tell us everything we need to know about O moving forward. He probably won’t be fired after this season but we will have a better idea of the length he will be here when it’s over.

This...too much truth to handle for many on this board...
