Thanks for the pictures and info. You obviously live in a beautiful and blessed part of the country. I hope our fans can return the hospitality when ya'll come for a game here. The only problem is deciding where to go in Washington among the many choices.

bump
Big "heat-wave" in Seattle coming up this week. Mid-90's with no humidity. Of course that sucks when you stick to the dumb local convention of not having A/C.

j, i would like to see snow. mount si, rainier, somewhere in olympic? i'm just trying to find something that won't take all day, won't require mountain climbing skills and won't be outrageously expensive. that sounds like a alot but with several tall mountain ranges within driving distance, i figure it won't be too hard
One place you might have a good chance of seeing snow is Artist's Point up on Mount Baker. I went up there in on an 85 degree day in the middle of July a couple years ago and went sledding. It's a two hour drive from Bellingham, which is about 1 1/2 hours north of Seattle. They just cleared the road a week ago or so, so the snow might still be there in early september, I'm not sure. Worst case you drive up there and get some amazing 360 degree views of the Cascades.

Snow level as of July 3
A really easy (saw a grandma holding an oxygen tank do it) but amazing hike is Sauk Mountain. I would guess it would be a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive from Seattle to the trailhead.

Couple of pics from when I went on the hike last year...
Also, I've seen a couple people recommend to drive Highway 20 to Winthrop and then loop around to Leavenworth on the way back to Seattle. I would also highly, highly recommend that drive.

Nice. Have you been up to the ice caves since they opened a few weeks ago?

Yeah that place is pretty cool. If you have the time, I would go down to the park below the bridge as well.. after you go explore up around the bridge too of course. Not too far out of the way, probably 15 mins off of the highway that takes you to Deception Pass is Washington Park in Anacortes. That would be a cool park too to check out on your way to Deception Pass. There's a loop you can drive through the park, but get out and walk the trail that has the views of the islands too. I'm pretty sure you can drop down and explore along the beach there too. Awesome place to be on a nice sunny day and it's basically right on your way to Deception Pass, just a tiny bit out of the way. Go explore around in it for an hour or so, it will be worth it. Washington Park

I don't really like posting my email on public message boards, but if you post yours I will definitely email you haha. One more thing if you do go to Anacortes, you must go to Mt. Erie Park there. You can drive to the peak and it has amazing views.

Nice work!
Here's another unique way to get to the game by charter boat.
Chinook's Dawg Boat
Chinook’s is Home of the Husky Party Boat! Leave the crowd behind, park free at Fishermen’s Terminal and enjoy a scenic cruise to Husky Stadium. Call Chinook's at (206) 283-HOOK for more information.
1900 West Nickerson Street Seattle, WA 98119
PH: (206) 283-4665 Fax: (206) 283-3705
Chinook's at Salmon Bay is a casual, high-energy seafood restaurant located in Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal. This unique location has been the base of the North Pacific fishing fleet since 1913 with over 700 commercial fishing vessels calling it home. Chinook's is perfect for family dining.
It takes forever to get out the the U District after a game. The big parking lot near the stadium is the worst. If you can't get on the boat from Chinook's I would use Metro transit. There are loads of buses waiting after the game.
Have a great time. Husky stadium is a lovely place to see a game if the weather is good. If not, bring plenty of rain gear. If your seats are in the sun it can be quite hot on a sunny day. I've gotten a terrible sun burn and I've been soaked to the skin--not on the same day but it's not outside the realm of possibility that you could experience both during the same game.

Depends what you want to do. I personally am a big fan of driving around to see the scenery, particularly in a place like Seattle.
If you aren't too hungover Sunday, that could be a good day to do the loop I described.
