I don't think they were trying too hard to keep Neal out of the lineup to begin with.
Milazzo got the start Opening Day because he's a Senior (and/or maybe Hurd prefers throwing to him). But I think Travinksi and Neal will both be in the starting almost every game, rotating between DH and catching to keep them fresh. Milazzo will be a late inning replacement and get spot starts throughout the season to help keep the other 2 fresh and to keep him sharp. They'll all have roles and play a lot, but I just think Trav and Neal's bats are too valuable to not be in there almost every day. Posted on 2/18/24 at 2:07 pm to G The Tiger Fan
