I could agree with this. Definitely a vanilla offense all day which is expected and gladly accepted. Looking back at the play though, it was just a straight drop back and fly route. It wasn't a trick play or even play action.

mett caught him napping and threw a perfect pass

Looking at replay, looks like a straight fly. Maybe a bit of a deak towards a fake post.

I think that Miles thought it was a double move. . .

Did anyone see the smirk on Chavis' face after he called the blitz. . .after being told not to.

I lol'd

Do you really think that Les Miles and Co. are scripting TD plays for certain players to please the fans? That is just obnoxious.

True.

And if he's going to get into "scripting", for fans, in the Spring Game, seems he would at least script a good game clock managing ending too, no??

watched the replay... and yep.

miles wants a boring offense with tweedle dee and tweedle dumb running the show.

It sure seems like this is the case, it's painful to watch the same exact bullshite play calls.

So you agree that Miles plays the best players and likes good offensive plays?

First of all, this:
quote:

Miles plays the best players

is not what you said when you first attempted to put words in my mouth.

You said this:
quote:

Miles hates offense. . .and good plays. . .and anyone NOT named Jefferson. . .and more talented players. . .and winning.

As a matter of fact, it is completely different. If you don't understand why, go ask an English teacher.

As fas as if Miles likes "good offensive plays", I have no idea. I'm sure he likes some offensive plays that he thinks are good however if they are indeed "good" or not is up for debate.

Once again, these are dumb comments which seem to be changing with every post. If you have questions about them, ask yourself.

Maybe you should stick to posting your own opinions instead of trying to post the opinions of other people.

They come out after half and the first play is a 60 yard bomb to a wide open receiver.

Just how they scripted it!

That's how we know Miles is so bad at coaching, right? I mean, he hates winning, and yet he keeps doing it 11 or 12 times a year! How bad he must suck if he can't even keep from winning 78% of the time!

Wow, that's a lot of hemming and hawing and dodging the question. Your posts suggested that you thought Miles was guiding the playcalling in an ineffective direction. So let's clarify:

Do you believe that Les Miles is trying to run the team in a way that generates the most effective offense for winning games that he can create with the talent and coaching available to him?

"Yes" and "no" are the only appropriate answers to this question as they clearly and confidently state your position in a way that makes you accountable (inasmuch as anything on an anonymous internet message board can be "accountable") for your claims. Other responses are nothing more than chickenshit spin and dodging that serve no purpose other than to allow disingenuous cowards and liars pretend to say things while later being able to deny they ever said them.

You are tanking fast. . .or fail to understand hyperbole.

So You are saying you don't know if Miles likes good offensive plays?

Now back to your deflection:

Do you think Miles plays the best players?

Oh hell yes!

And I don't give a shite what the appropriate answers are to your question.

No, you just aren't very bright.

So You are saying you don't know if Miles likes good offensive plays?

I have no idea what plays Miles likes. If they are good or not are a matter of opinion. For example, Miles obviously likes the short side option, I don't agree with the way he uses it.

Now back to your new question because it seems like you don't understand between "best" and "more talented":
quote:

Do you think Miles plays the best players?

I think Miles plays the players who he thinks are best to be playing at the time.

Do you need me to explain some other things for you?

Ohhhh. . .you just know that:

quote:

If Miles was going to script a TD, it would have been for JJ.

and that Miles handcuffs his coordinators.

quote:

I think Miles plays the players who he thinks are best to be playing at the time.

Should he be doing something else?

Do you think Miles intentionally refuses to play more talented players?

quote:

Do you need me to explain some other things for you?

Yes please. The above question would be a good start.

Ha ha ha. Good Lord, that was a joke, obviously you didn't get it. I never said Miles scripted a play. Even though it was a joke, I do believe the statement is true. If Miles were to script a 60yd TD pass, it would be for JJ. He's already said JJ is ahead of the other QBs. Why would he intentionaly create more of a QB controversy by scripting a bomb for any QB other than JJ?

quote:

Should he be doing something else?

No, he shouldn't.

quote:

Do you think Miles intentionally refuses to play more talented players?

I don't know if he "refuses" to play more talented players or not. I think he starts whoever gives the team the best chance to win, in his mind. Obviously Sheppard is very talented, but Miles may have people playing in front of him. I don't believe talent alone is the reason why you play someone or not.

Anything else?

I know I'm coming out of left field with this one, but I'd be willing to bet he (the head corch) actually just wanted to work on things more likely to happen in real game situations. Call me crazy...but I thought that's what practice and scrimmage games were about.

Your crazy

For the team yes that is the point but the ranters have to pick apart everything for another motive.
