The Silver Cloud really is close to the stadium...about a 15 min. walk. There is also a Travel Lodge in the same area...it's an older, two-story motel but looks nice from the outside.

Well, lets just say that the top covers aren't always as clean as you may think. This is pretty standard across hotels.
A few years back I recall watching some Discovery special on this issue.
I found this that you may seem interesting.

The main thing I worry about is bedbugs. I travel quite a bit and I have kept up with this growing epidemic in hotels and apartments for a year and a half. They and their eggs are easily transported in luggage and is the absolute last thing you want to bring home from a trip. People who end up with infestations in their homes go through a living hell (and much $$$) trying to get rid of them.
I ALWAYS check the bed and around the bed when I go to a hotel before I even bring my luggage into the room. If I were to ever experience bites while staying in a hotel I will leave my luggage there.
If you are not aware of this problem, please educate yourselves.

Be careful.

Made reservations at The Silver Cloud by the University last night. The still have rooms available. They have a shuttle service for a three mile radius of the hotel which covers the stadium, shopping mall, etc.
The rooms are set up as one King, one queen or two queens. It looks nice on the web site.
Their are 3 Silver Cloud's in Seattle.
Cann't wait

I've been to Seattle many times and there's nothing wrong with Silver Cloud. No worries.

I'm planning on staying at the Days Inn by the SeaTac Airport. I don't plan on staying there except to sleep. Whenever I travel I always like to stay close to the airport that I will be flying out of.
Never mind, they are on the Bed Bugs registry. (Thank you LSU1980) I'll find some other hotel by the airport.

I'm having a hard time finding a UW board like TD. The link here doesn't work for me . I want to hook up with some UW folks that plan on coming here when they play .

Thinking about it. Are you looking at driving straight through or taking a few days to enjoy the sights?
ETA It would be a heck of a sight to see a caravan of LSU vehicles all headed towards the west coast.

we r definitely driving....we thinking about stopping in witchita and salt lake city on the way up there bc they are all in 12-14 hour intervals all the way up....It would be awesome to see all of the LSU flags flyings on the way down there

I had this great idea for a day that I would drive and bring the tailgate, etc.
That lasted for about 12 hours until I found cheap flights.

does anyone know any college towns you can stop at on the way from witchita to seattle....preferably somewhere in the middle so it makes the trip easier.
