If their offense continues to play as efficiently as last night they are easily a top 5 offense. UF played really well last night, I don't understand how they cannot be given credit for that?

Yeah, and if our offense played as well as we did against Appalachian State we'd be a top 5 offense too. If UF's offense was more effective against us than it has been all year, that's a sign that our defense was below par.

Everyone plays their best game against us, starting last year with Ken. and continuing this year.

right people failed to see that ASU could of moved the ball at will if not for many dropped passes.

and our give north texas the short passes, showed weaknesses in our defense, the score just didn't show it.

hopefully the punch in the mouth is a wake up call, but beat downs like that could be drastic for an inexperienced defense.

we let AU and MSU have their best offensive games against real competition before we let UF have its best offensive game all year

the defense was that bad. the defense hasn't been good all season. Go rewatch the appalachain state game and consider how well our defense played compared to the drops they had.

As the season goes on teams usually start getting better offensively. Thats just the nature of football.

AU and MSU have not done this

AU had like 183 total yards yesterday, and i think 100 came in the 4th quarter...against ARKANSAS!

MSU had 80 something yards passing yesterday...against VANDY!

Can you please submit your resume to lsu before the south Carolina game? I would hate for us to have to play that game without such a knowledgeable and great coach on the sidelines . I mean hell, with your obvious skill, you must turn phone calls away daily asking for your service. I knew we would have the answer on the rant. While we are at it, will you go ahead and cure cancer, fix global warming, and make the stock market rise again? Thanks. You're my hero.

if i can see the pattern, and our defensive coaches can't, then what does that say about them?

This is like saying that I can spot a problem with illegal immigration, but that does not mean that there is a quick fix. I'm sure the coaches have spotted the same problem as you, but obviously the fix isn't easy. You say put this player here and this player there, but you have not seen any practices to know how these players are preforming. All I am saying is that it is asinine to say that there is an easy fix to the team right now, and that the coaches are just ignoring these problems is absurd.

Lynx, seriously. Outside of Tebow is any RB from UF actually big enough to truck a CB? You are telling me they are going to truck Patrick Peterson who is over 200 lbs? or Jai who is 185 and actually heavier? Seriously?

The excuses are bad. I tried to say it was the players just not executing, but anyone who knows anything about football saw last night that Mallory and Peveto are horrible schemers and can't make adjustments to save their lives.

Fact is Spurrier cracked Pelini's defense last year in the second half of the USCe game, and every team has beat us up since then for the most part.

Last year the Florida/LSU game was very similar. LSU was able to make conversions to keep getting 1 downs and keep the Florida offense off the field. LSU could not stop Florida last year either. All the breaks went Florida's way last night. Our defense in not making the plays that they need to make. Unless LSU D starts making plays they will lose more games this year. The SEC teams will exploit LSU D weakness.

How do you know? How do you know there hasn't been an attempt to fix it in practice, but the results were worse than what is currently happening. My point is that you are making harsh rationalizations with extremely limited knowledge. This whole board sounds like a bunch of pansies that just wants to point fingers rather than accept the task at hand.

How do you know?

i've watched them play

we still run cover 2 man 85% of the time or so

we never stunt

our DL still plays contain, esp against mobile QBs

our CBs still play off coverage

but the results were worse than what is currently happening.

that's pretty hard to believe
