I mean the people bashing his defense have a legitimate gripe... he's not a good defensive catcher at all.

Arrambide actually showed some defensive improvement over the entire season last year. I was hoping he would carry that progress into this year.

Both things can be true. Hes at best the second best catcher we have behind Yamin, and I think everybody can see that. He may be the third best behind Serna and thats ok. It may not be the most desirable thing but if he can rake while being the DH or 1B and we can cut down on errors then its worth it for the team and I doubt he would complain.

I’ve definitely shite on him regarding his glove. He’s a mirror image of Serna defensively and Serna is a freshman.
I’d love for him to DH and kill it. I hope he makes us all look stupid no matter where he is in the lineup.

Yea the defense is bad, the amount of drops and balls getting away isn’t acceptable from him or Serena at this level.

You know Arrambide having an amazing game doesn't suddenly not make him suck as a catcher, right?
Like LSU winning this series doesn't mean Yorke suddenly doesnt need to be benched.
