Yeah OP is wrong on the coin toss, but definitely right to talk about he mgmt of the possession after the turnover. Terribile playcalling and the lack of effort or foresight to try and bleed the clock out to prevent Vandy from getting another possession was ridiculous and simple clock management stuff
TY...
JFC this is the point even in the damn title of the OP

You are trying too hard to find something to complain about. There's tons of legitimate things to complain about.
As it happened in real-time, everyone I was watching with was complaining about it. Sure enough it came back to bite us. That was losing football strategy right there. Clearly, you've never known or have forgotten what that looks like

Brian Kelly acts like he’s smarter than LSU fans and above the program. His arrogant press conferences and the disorganized mess we see on the field every Saturday show exactly how little respect he has for the fanbase. He knows his massive contract makes him untouchable, so he keeps insulting the fans without any fear of consequences.

Everyone you were watching the game with were just whining about a negative situation.
We played it to use as much time as possible. We ran the ball on first down and then got a first down on a pass to move the ball to the Vandy 23 with about a minute left.
Now, every reasonable person in the world is thinking TD there. But, using time is still valuable. What did LSU do? They ran it AGAIN. The problem is that it lost 2 yards and Vandy used it's timeout. If you ran it 2 more times, you don't use any more time because Vandy uses its timeouts. Plus, you'd give up your primary objective of putting it in the end zone.
You are just complaining about a negative result.

I'd love for you to be explicit about what playcalls you hated in that sequence and what you wish had been done.

That FG changed the entire complexion of the game
Not being prepared (again) and getting out coached (again) was the whole complexion of the game and it never changed from the opening kickoff to the kneel down to end it.

Now to the main point of the OP, coaches allowing double possessions when we don't have to
Can you be specific about what you wanted LSU to have done differently?
