This. I think their entire starting defense returns.

Are you sure about this? I thought it was the other way around...

bad they were in the championship last year and only lost 2 seniors on defence last year

Doesn't mean they're any faster

That sounds along the lines I was remembering. I think the 4 they lost were pretty important players they are having to replace.

Nonetheless, VT normally puts together a new unit.

USC has to reload on D more than any team I can ever remember.

OU may be tough but I'm going to have to see it to believe it.

Y'all got a bunch of points scored on y'all last year. Some of it may have to do with getting lax when y'all were running up the score on folks, so I don't know.

The chances of OU playing defense week in and week out are about the same as ouforlife formulating a complete sentence without grammatical errors.
There's a reason Oklahoma is a flyover state.

Re: "Ohio State and Penn State will be strong at D in the Big 10 as always."

That's because it's the big 10!

Put them in the SEC and make them play UF & LSU every year, and see how their defense looks.

Fla might not be #1! they have the talent but you never know if the team will live up to hype. We were loaded last year and sucked who knows

I like Bama too (and Tenn could be very good again this year on D esp if their offense can move the ball at all)

I like Alabama's and Georgia's defense next year. Both have big question marks at quarterback though.

Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Southern Cal should all be pretty stout.

I think we'll be very strong. We'll just have to wait and see how Chavis does. We've got the players to be the best, we just need to see his schemes, etc.
