How about if the offense is stagnant and you decide to put sheppard in for two plays and he gains 16 yds or so running and gets you inside the 10 LEAVE HIM IN AND RUN IT SOME MORE or maybe let him do a toss or two kind of what Lee did last week. Then to really gamble you can even let him come in a few times in the second half

go even further with that logic

if keiland is chopping up the D like liver, keep giving him the fricking ball.

if running scott into a pile 10 times in a row doesn't work

try something else!

I agree with this. I can't wait until I read the headline in a month: Sure the Tigers are 8-0 but how good are they really?

Let's see...

1. Don't travel 2,500 miles to the west coast.
2. Hope it doesn't rain. Hope the OL plays better.
3. Hope it doesn't rain. Hope the OL plays better.
4. Hope there isn't a 4 hour delay leaving BTR airport.

I think that covers all the hurdles this team has to jump to get to that elite program level.

Oh wait... they'll probably also need:
1. A pick six in the first quarter of GA's QB.
2. GA's offense to play weaker than they are and GA's defense to play extremely weaker than they are.
3. Hope that GA's OL and DL run out of gass in the 4th qtr.
4. A pick six (did I mention this?) by GA's QB. A 93 yard punt return (seriously, who fields punts inside the 10?). And a goal-line stand at 1st and goal from the 3.

yeah... get all that done, and that dials up sure-fire win.

tenacious

"AJ Green was able to add to his great game receiving with a blocked field goal along with Jeff Owens. Green then went right back to work on offense, and would make the key play on the drive that put the Dawgs in field goal range. Speaking of receivers, it was great to see true freshman Rantavious Wooton make some nice plays. Dawg fans should expect his role to grow in future games. Fans are also anxious to see Marlon Brown, another talented true freshman wide receiver, start getting some action for the Dawgs. We’ll keep watching for him."

LSU better watch out for those named receivers. I don't think UGA has much of a solid ground game which hurts. We seem to be able to stop the run and not the pass and third and long is our enemy.

IMHO UGA has more problems to work out than LSU.

LSUgradATL is putting his diploma to good use. This game is a toss up.

Moron. What gives you such confidence in Goergia? Their play vs. ASU? Arky?

You have no idea what you are talking about.

1) Pressure Joe Cox - If the Tigers can get pressure the UGA QB, he will make mistakes. With a 9 TD's to 5 INT's, Cox has proven that he will turn the ball over if people are in his face. If it weren't for Cox's propensity to throw INT's, the Arizona St. game would not have been close. Chavis needs to unload an aggressive blitz package in this game if the Tigers have any hope of success.

LSU has gotton burned virtually everytime they have done this. So you want to do this why?

2. Throw the ball down field - Georgia has shown an inability to stop the deep pass against the likes of South Carolina and Arkansas. The Arkansas game was like a track meet. If Jefferson can actually get some time to throw, UGA is weak against the down field pass.

Jefferson is like 1 for 10 on long passes. So we should do this how often?

3. Win the field position battle - LSU has given teams a pretty short field to work with, and the defense has done a fairly good job of stopping teams despite defending a short field. This must stop if LSU is going to win. The Georgia Offense, not unlike the LSU offense, is still very inconsistent. UGA can't consistently put together long drives against the Tiger D, and it's imperative that LSU work out the kinks in the kicking game before Saturday.

Have you seen Helton punt lately? Very inconsistent. You need a good consistent punter to help pull this off, and one that can catch.

- Block - worst offensive line in 10 years
- Pressuring the quarterback is out with our defensive line
- MSU might have known our running plays, but anyone who has watched LSU under Miles and Croton could just as easily determine the running plays by the formation
- Play defense - has Chavis forgotten how to coach since he left Tennessee or are our players overrated
- Have some continuity to the offense - it's like Croton just pulls a play out of the hat; no ryhme or reason to his play calling
- Turn Miles into a head coach instead of a cheerleader

Sid: You have no idea what you are talking about.

Thanks for the high intellectual response Sid. Nice to know you think I'm a moron. I've noticed you like to use similar big words like that in most of your posts.

And you are right, I don't 'know' what I'm talking about. However - if you care to read my list again, you'll see the first 4 items correlate with Les Miles reasons why LSU didn't blow out the competition on the first four games.

The second list of four is called sarcasm. (HINT for you Sid: that means I really did not mean it seriously) I was merely trying to point out, it is a game. And you can't predict what's going to happen. Unless you want to say, I predict there will be a loser and a winner.

But again, Sid, thanks for calling me a moron. Brilliant. You must really use your Thesaurus a lot. (HINT: that's that big book you must have that translates the little words you know into the big ones you don't)
