Baylor's positives -- filthy rich alumni, beautiful campus, small town community if you like that sort of thing, Texas recruiting, more hot chicks than you can shake a stick at, and rapidly improving facilities (though the Ferrell Center sucks).

Waco's not as bad as it's rep, but it is kind of isolating. You can easily get to Dallas or Austin on the weekend, but you have to like small towns to live there.

Why on earth would he leave Baylor for LSU?
Unless he is the kind of coach that enjoys rebuilding from ground up, LSU is a step down. Better recruiting in Texas, easier to make it to tournament. With Mizzou and A&M leaving, it will be easier than ever to make the tournament.
So, why would he want the LSU job?

I agree with all of that. Every word.

Homer Drew (Scott's Dad) was an assistant under Dale Brown at LSU. Dale Brown is Scott Drew's godfather. There are plenty of ties to LSU, but not sure if he would leave Baylor. Great coach and recruiter and lots of enthusiasm. LSU would be lucky to have him.

I've lived in Waco since 1986. There is no comparison to the LSU girls vs. Baylor girls. Granted, Baylor girls are cute, but there is nothing like an LSU campus, except maybe some other SEC campuses. I've brought several Waco friends to LSU football games and they all agree - LSU is loaded in the girl department (pardon the pun). Waco is a great place, but it is no Baton Rouge.

There are no Louisiana high school players listed in the RIVALS top 100 players who entered colleges this 2011-2012 season.

NOT ONE.

Upon that very negative basis alone, I think a guy would have to be crazy to leave Baylor to come to LSU.

And on the positive side for Baylor, Baylor has the cachet that Baptists from all over can be appealed to
to go to Baylor, much as Notre Dame appeals to Catholics nationwide.

My sister had an interview in Waco for a teaching job so I drove her there. I watched the US/Slovenia match on campus.

It's easy to look good on a hot Saturday afternoon with a drink in your hand.

Baylor has some fine girls. Believe it.

My sister graduated from Baylor and I visited a good bit. Baylor women dont compare to LSU women.

Yes, that should draw all the top coaching candidates to Baton Rouge.
