Why was S's thread deleted?

It was just as informational as all the other coaching search threads.

Over the long-term LSU is far and away a better job than Baylor as far as basketball is concerned. I understand Drew not wanting to leave a place he built but let's not act like Baylor is a place coaches are beating down the door to go to. While they may be involved in their greatest period of sports history across all sports (an impressive current place for that school) they'll be second/third/fourth/fifth fiddle to many other schools in Texas and surrounding Texas for the long-term.

I don't think we get him, but I don't think it's because Baylor is a great spot.

I won't say Baylor DOESNT have hot girls, but most schools in Texas do.

LSU and SEC schools all have hot girls too...its a wash.

Homer Drew (Scott's Dad) was an assistant under Dale Brown at LSU. Dale Brown is Scott Drew's godfather. There are plenty of ties to LSU, but not sure if he would leave Baylor. Great coach and recruiter and lots of enthusiasm. LSU would be lucky to have him.

And he recruits Louisiana well. He got Tweety Carter and Lacedarious Dunn who helped him establish the program at BU. And this year he got Gathers too.

Yes.

He likes Drew, and he could stay close to home. Plus, he has no idea who Drew's replacement at Baylor would be, just days before Signing Day.

YES YES YES

And to be honest, Drew is probably a better in-game coach than Dale was, even though I do give him a hard time sometimes.

If they don't offer the job to Drew before Jones, our athletic department really has no idea what they are doing. Or they just don't want to pay.

no doubt about this.
