Our WRs don't drop any more balls then any other team in college football.
Our WRs have killed us in recent years. They dropped everything JR threw, and Lafell alone nearly cost us the AU game last season. Dropped balls have plagued LSU. I dont see other teams dropping so many. Plus, arent LSU's WRs supposed to be some of the best in the country?

Your original quote referenced Lee, which pertains to this year. This year our WRs have not dropped anymore balls then any other team in college football.
I think you've over blown the situation as well. Dwayne Bowe went through a spell late his junior year with dropping passes. Other then that, WRs during JR's tenure were pretty solid.
Lafell had a big problem last year starting in the middle of the season and it didn't remedy itself until the very end of the year. However, this year he is arguably the best WR in the SEC.

Have any of ya'll realized that Crowton may be doing a hell of a job to have Lee even playing at this leve?. He may be coaching Lee up.

This year and in recent years. I'm referring to LSU WR play in general, which has hurt the stats of JR, Flynn, and now Lee.

I think many LSU fans here can remember the dropped balls. Bowe dropped many, but he was not alone and yes he did imporve once he had lasik. Doucet, Dickson, and Byrd have had the best hands recently I think.
I dont blame all of Lee's struggles on the WRs of course, but you cannot deny that dropped passes have hurt this year, and in recent years, and very nearly cost LSU the NC last year. This year in particular I'm thinking of the dropped balls against Bama.

Of course this is another possibility.

when does crowton start taking a little blame for not fine tuning this kid's decision making process a little better ..
FWIW, it is clear the problem is nerves, not decision making ability. He is steller in practice, but before the Alabama game he was reduced to pacing back and forth with a face that suggested his internal monolouge was "Oh shite...Oh shite...Oh shite.."

Sound like he needs a shot of bourbon before every game.
Damn, he's too young to drink.

Lee vs Alabama:
13-of-34 passing for 181 yards with one touchdown and four costly interceptions.
IMO, Crowton calling 34 pass plays is a lot with the way we were running the ball against Bama.

Yeah, but I dont think he could run it much more without Bama putting 9 in the box. Who knows.
But it should have been at least 14-34 passing with 2 TDs. That deep pass dropped hurt us bad. Tolliver I think.

I would love to statistics on LSU's dropped passes compared to other college teams this year. I seen every game from start to finish and I don't believe dropped balls is a major factor in the offense this year.
