That’s true, Klubnik threw at Delane often. I found that surprising. But that’s why a team gets Delane.

Overall, it was a strong effort by the secondary.

A better question that will answer your question: where was the guy Pickett was covering last night?

Here is a football nugget for you. If the DB’s name gets called it’s for 3 possible reasons and 2 ain’t good. Not hearing his name called is Good thing.

Didn’t see much of him

If you don't see a CB it's normally a good thing

Stamps was the one MIA. Zero snaps, must have been suspended or injured.

On the bench where he belongs

He’s a backup caliber cb on a vintage lsu defense

He was never god enough to be a cb1

The point is to never hear a CB’s name.

You should never know he exists.

You didn’t hear his name in a good way. When he was out there, he was in position.

Some of the media guys stressed patience with him coming along slower than Stingley and Ricks, but considering the environment, he looked ready to roll last night.

Seemed like Klubnik was always throwing at Delane

And that worked out so well for him

You’re right. We’ve had some CB3s/Nickles who took a couple of years to round into form and he’s probably in that same conversation. He was just forced into a tougher role much too early the last two seasons.

By all media accounts Stamps had a strong camp and ran as CB2 for a while. If he’s on the bench, it’s because guys like Woodland and Pickett who have more talent and upside have legitimately passed him (as they should), not that Stamps sucks. If we put him on the field in the right role as a reserve Nickle or Dime on a 4th or 5th WR, he’s going to be fine.

i mean there is some middle ground between being CB1 and not playing a snap.

He’s not better than woodland Les

Check my posts I said during camp woodland would take his spot

Not arguing that. Him not playing a snap has nothing to do with that.

How many snaps does a cb4 usually play in a big game?

At least a few. He led the whole defense in snaps last year and there has been no indication he has fallen completely out of favor this offseason. Just reading the tea leaves here. It wasn’t performance-based

Its a great sign when you don't see a cornerback on the field.
