Since most tiger fans are asking this question 4 years in BKs tenure at LSU after he went 10-4,10-3 (Heisman), 9-4 in the toughest conference in the land after we went 5-5 and 6-7 in the previous 2 seasons and ended up with 43 players at the end of that 2 year run, I would say we deserve neither.

Ed Orgeron or Curly would be the coach we deserve.

6-7 seasons are fun. No expectations and the few wins can be cherished longer.

Have you seen Clemson in the last 2 openers?

Obviously Dabo has more recent success with two nattys. But BK was somewhat restricted by ND's academic standards precluding some recruits from being offered and signed.
But Dabo is so cringe. Love his being a man of deep faith and he benefits from that with the mamas in recruitment but his "gumpness" makes me dislike that part of him deeply. I would find it hard to feel good about it if he were the LSU coach. Sounds like an idiot in interviews and the "aw shucks" personality is unbearable.

Dabo hands down. CBK got most of his wins in DIVII and Cinci. Did ok at ND, but got his arse wiped in the NC against Bama.

People bagging on Kelly are ridiculous. He took over LSU with no players. He had a total rebuild here.

Now do Notre Dame.

No NiL to deal with. Nationwide recruiting base. Catholic tie-in. Dedicated TV contract. Still no championships?

I'll take a Dabo please

Doesn't matter at this time. BK is our coach.

Yet Notre Dame has never won a national championship game, all of their "claimed" titles are the result of polls or selection.

Dabo, he’s won the big game.

One has 2 national championships.

Jimbo had one when A&M hired him. Having a championship doesn’t mean the game can’t pass you by if you aren’t willing to adapt.

This is the reason Saban is the best that ever coached and others who played for or won titles during his run like Les Miles, Gus Malzahn, Chip Kelly, Mack Brown, Jimbo and others fell off. None of them were willing to adapt to the way the game was changing the way Saban was.

Dabo had a great run, but he’s never recovered from losing his best coordinators and still hasn’t fully adapted to NIL and the Portal. His success has noticeably slipped because of it and his philosophies on them would play out much worse in the SEC. There’s a reason that Bama didn’t really consider a native son who was at one time considered a LOCK to be Saban’s successor when he ended up walking away.
