It's '03 for me but they are all special. I remember going to games with my dad in the 90's and we would have 10 tickets, in the lower bowl, and couldn't give them away. I was in school for the Saban years and the game day experience was just next level compared to just a few years before. I mean, just a few years before we were excited about the independence bowl. The '01 Sugar Bowl was surprising and the '03 NC just came quick. Was a good time to be in BR. Can't imagine what last year was like though.

2019 is going to be very, very tough to beat. I grew up with stories about 1958 - to the point those numbers are almost magical all by themselves. But having lived through 2019 - particularly after the Bama game when I knew we couldn't be beaten - that no matter what else happened, our guy (Burreaux) could beat their guy - no matter if it was Sunshine or anybody else. That was big for me because we always seemed to have QB envy. And just the offensive weapons - the synergy of those 30+ guys (starters and contributors, including Olinemen) - we'll likely never see that again, at least on offense.

2003 was big because it proved the adage that LSU has all the tools to win it, just needs the right pieces in place. 2007 was also fun because of the up and down nature of the season and the fact that 2006 was probably a better "team" overall, but 2007 had better luck.

Lucky beats good 6 out of 7 days of the week.

2003 was the most exciting because it was the first I saw in person. 2007 was my favorite because I got to see it in person with my Dad before he passed away from cancer. 2019 will always be remembered by me as the crowning of the greatest team in the history of college football!

Redemption Natty 2019.

Beat Texas-Payback for the Bowl loss years ago.
Beat Florida-No hurricane to protect you gatas.
Beat Alabama-At Alabama, game was closer than it should of been for fluke plays by Bama.
Beat A&M-Didn't need any overtimes for this one to settle.
Beat Oklahoma-Beat Hurts after he beat us at home because of no holding calls against the Alabama offensive line on his td run.
Beat Clemson-Alabama couldn't do it but we did.
Heisman trophy winner and award winners up and down the whole team and coaches.

2003 because growing up I never imagined in a million years LSU would get to that level of competition.

2019 was the most fun season ever. I can watch those games over and over.

2003 was insanely special. I was at the game and I thought I was experiencing a once in a lifetime thing (boy was I wrong!). I probably had the most fun at that NC game than any other. That whole season was special as nobody gave LSU much credit going into the season and every game (except Florida) proved them wrong.

Its tough. I usually explain it with 2003 being the game, but 2019 being the season. I went in depth on another post about my 2003 season, but basically, being at LSU and winning one is something that very few can experience. Other than playing in one, having a family member play in one, it is a unique experience.

I then put the 2019 natty second in game and of all seasons, the 2011 season as the second best season. I was able to go to all of the home games and some away games for each (Texas, OU and Oregon, West VA), so those seasons were really living the dream.

2019 was my favorite.

I've always loved LSU but my fandom really took off when we moved to Florida in 2000. I was 13 when LSU won in 2003 so I was an absolute fanatic from then on but I didn't understand the magnitude of the championship.

2007 was fun but it was still a 2 loss team, I remember drinking my pain away after that loss to UK. Then my dad and I were at the Arkansas game to see McFadden go full superman on us. Even though we won it all, those 2 horrible losses took away from being champions.

2011 was...... well 2011. No one needs to hear that again.

2019 was perfect all around. I mean that. Perfect. The wins against Texas, Florida, Auburn, Bama were all incredible. I think the Oklahoma game was my favorite though. I drove down to watch it with my pops and we were giddy from the first score on. We couldn't believe what was going on in front of our eyes.

As far as the game and season itself, 2019

Feelings a couple months after winning? -- probably 2007 because it was pre-Bama/Saban dynasty and coupled with another title in 03 just 4 years earlier, it seemed like LSU was poised to be the #1 program in college football going forward --- of course that all changed very quickly in May 2008

2003 was awesome but I was still just a little young to fully grasp the enormity of what had happened - also, FUSC

No, a punt ended the game. And yes it took forever to land.

I was younger but I remember that exact punt and just got goosebumps thinking about it. The whole time the ball was in the air my dad kept repeating, "I can't believe it. I can't believe it. LSU is the national champions."

Annddddddddd I'm off to watch the 03 highlights.

If we won in 2011 that would have been the favorite for me. I was always an LSU fan growing up, but 2011 was my junior year in high school and it's when I decided that I was going to LSU for college and I truly became a Tiger fanatic.

I just have lots of great memories from that season. Attending the Arkansas game (it was rare for my family to go to games then), having barbecue parties with my friends to watch most of the big games, destroying most every team we played, the emergence of the honey badger. Just such a fun season to watch, it's a travesty how it ended though.

2019 would have the be my favorite for sure. Made up for the way 2011 ended.

I enjoyed 2003 and 2007 but I was too young to truly appreciate either.

2003, because it was the least expected. Even going into the title game, all they talked about was how great Oklahoma was and that their loss in the Big 12 title game was a fluke and they were looking ahead and blah blah blah.

I'm still in college, so 2019 was the only one I've experienced, but the loudest I remember that dome getting was either that first Chase TD or Burrow's QB draw at the end of the 1st half. After that play, I was very confident we'd win the rest of the way.

03 - first one I got to experience
07 - I was a student and went to the championship game
19 - first chance for me to see a Heisman winner at LSU and the high powered offense we knew we could have

They all had something different for me. It’s hard to say.

All 3 were different, that's for sure.

In 2003, "Is this real" was kind of the feeling. We had that suffocating defense. It was in New Orleans...and against a blue blood. It was definitely special.. that's for sure. 1st Natty in my lifetime. Didn't think I'd ever see it.

'07 was an exhilarating, roller coaster season. One of the most fun seasons I can remember. I too was in the stadium that night when we lost in Triple OT to Arkansas. My feelings were - we just blew it. Best team in the nation and Natty's are rate. But I knew everyone else still had games to play so I thought with a little luck, maybe we still had a chance.

I knew once we got in, we'd beat Ohio State. But.... if you go back to the beginning of the BCS and up through the current playoff - there has never been another team with 2 losses even make the playoffs or BCSNCG, let alone win it.

But for me, 2019 was legendary. A legendary team. Legendary players. All of the awards, including the frikkin Heisman and the records.... One of the most difficult schedules ever, from beginning to end... and sooo much dominance. Beating Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Auburn all in the same season. And... our 3rd title in 16 or 17 years.... undefeated. Undisputed. Heavyweight Champions of College Football.

It's 2019. It has to be. There is a short list of teams in the history of college football that can be mentioned in the same conversation as the 2019 LSU team.

I’ve been a fan since the 60’s. It appeared for so long that the crystal ball was for others. Having not been even considered a contender for so long was numbing. Walking in to the Dome in 03 was as foreign as walking in to a nail salon. When it happened I was stunned and ran to Canal St to buy numerous hats and shirts. That night ended at daylight at Crystal . Never to be forgotten

On paper it should be 2019 for me, but 2007 was much more magical since I was a kid at the time. I looked up to those guys. Flynn, Hester, Steltz, Byrd, Dorsey, David, etc. They were heroes. You look at the players differently when you’re older than them and you see them as kids as I did in 2019.

03 was unexpected and a long time coming. But 19 was building from the beginning and so dominant at the end!
