Anybody who chooses anybody but Etling is kidding themselves.

Etling has done well and provided a certain spark that the team needed AFTER Miles was gone.... But he hasn't played a top flite defense yet..... I will go with Guice....

And NOT A player..But whoever made the call to fire Miles gets my vote.........

And you're right. Etling has surprised! He's done well and I'm happy he has because I don't know where the team would be if he hadn't, but he is also an experienced QB coming over from Purdue. But you're right, I'm glad he has done well.

For me it's White and Adams, they were good last year but nothing like this year. White is a beast out there and Adams coverage has gotten much better. Could be scheme or the DL/seven is playing better but those two are killing it especially White! Riley is a good pick also but I never doubted him. Every time I saw him in he was making plays on ST and on D. Key is also killing it but everyone knew that was coming. Hope the rest of the DL picks it up a notch or two the rest of the season. We need them to be great the rest of the way. GT

Reminds me of backup Ron Brooks shining bright when he had his chance

His impact has been unnoticed, but Russell Gage is a beast blocking down field. I hope he gets a reception this season. He didn't transfer, and is seeing a few snaps every game.

The player who surprised me is donte jackson. Wasn't sure how good he was at cornerback, I'm convinced now that he will be a all American before he leaves lsu. He just improved each game and makes play after play. He's becoming my favorite player.

Tradavious white. Didn't realize how versatile he was

I knew white was good but I didn't he'd be a "lock you the frick down" guy like has been this year.

It was Ricky Jefferson, because I was so low on him in the first place and when I secondary had a shaky start he looked to be most consitent. However, I'm on the Duke Riley train. He locks down his side of the field and considering Key, Godchaux, and Beckwith own the other side of the field I'm impressed!

So you dis etling because he hasn't played a top flight defense, and go with guice. I guess he played different defenses. Lol. Everyone knew guice was a beast. A lot of you laughed at us when we said etling was better than Harris.

Not to change subject but the discussion pf Key, Beckwith and Riley left me wondering who is the 4th LB in the 3/4 lineup????

Duke Riley was thought of as a liability before the season started as was assumed to be passed up by someone else at his position.

He's definitely been a bright spot on defense and has played the best football of his career.

Definitely duke Riley.

I absolutely love watching guys like Riley breakout during their senior year and earn themselves a shot in the NFL. Get that $ young man.

This post got me to scanning the stats and I did not realize that LF has passed up Guice on the YPC avg lead. LF at 8.1, DG at 8.0 now.
