I think behind our classic uni, this is the 2nd best combo. I approve and donated $1m to the NIL fund today as a token of my approval. I asked them to keep it anonymous.

I'm coming on board with white/purple/white, esp. after our huge 20 point win over Oklahoma. It really seems like we've played our best football wearing it, and it's a clean, dignified look.
The first game I remember in this uniform was a 45-24 win over SC in 2015; Fournette and Guice racked up impressive numbers, and at the end of the game Spurrier announced his retirement. He had tried to psyche out LSU by putting us in purples.

Our default home jersey for nonconference games is a color one. Same as last year-- LSU was the designated home team in the bowl, and like last year, LSU wears purple.

I would rather they go with Gold-Purple-Gold but I'm good with White-Purple-White. Both are sharp. It's the Purple 'LSU' on the helmet that is most important.

It's always better to have a dominant color with a neutral color when designing a uniform. Our traditional uniform is a perfect example. The white jerseys emphasize the gold pants and helmet. I never liked gold/purple/gold because the two dominant colors tend to clash. White/purple/white is a much cleaner look. I remember when we wore these in 2019 at (if I'm remembering correctly) Vanderbilt. That night Scott Van Pelt raved over the combo. I remember him saying, "Man, even I would look good in that!" The w/p/w works for the same reason that g/w/g works: a dominant color which really stands out against a neutral color, which makes for a very clean, clearly defined look.
