His dad got to throw out first pitch at a game not long before he passed away
His dad was football official that allowed him to see top players in Acadiana area
It’s a nice summary of daily LSU going’s on that I read every morning before I start the day
The best thing he did was to stop predicting recruiting and let the experts handle that

That will provide the perfect definition of mediocrity.
I've come to believe that these are mostly people who do not engage in competitive endeavors themselves. It is much safer for them to live vicariously through the efforts of others and pontificate about what they will "accept" or "not accept" as if they were accomplishing something or failing to accomplish something themselves. These are the types who go on to become the youth baseball dads that will live through their kids and criticize them from the safety of the bleachers, knowing they themselves don't have to actually put themselves on the line to accomplish anything.
