We ARE playing Tulane in a midweek game later in the season.

To see who the coaches can count on when the going gets tough later in the year. If you consistently struggle to hit or pitch against these type of teams , you’re damn sure gonna get less time against top ten ranked sec teams.

Lost to a team with one win

I will reiterate my post from earlier that I fricking hate McNeese, Northwestern, and Nicholls a bunch of black hole athletic departments who make it their World Series to come play us. frick them all.

I'd rather they play Tulane or DBU, someone like that.
We play Tulane quite a bit. How are you gonna get a school like DVU to come to LSU on a fricking Tuesday?

Seriously? It’s baseball and can’t just play in weekends, like football. Teams need to play without a big gap between games. Call them crutch games if you will. Both teams benefit, obviously. We see idiotic posts like this every time LSU loses a mid week game. Never see it when they win.

Early experience for young players (mostly pitchers) so we can see who is reliable down the line.

These games are great to get a lot of playing time for guys that aren’t starters. In game play is more experience gained than practice. Think about how many games we should have won last year. We lost a lot of those games and still won a Natty! We just need to win when it matters!
