Don't you love it when Millies play the boomer card?

1.0 means you have a pulse.

I find it humorous that you, a dude in his mid-late 30s, is using a term that today’s teens use and they have NO idea what a baby boomer is.

Just Lester being Lester.

If y'all knew the whole story, you would be praying for Arik Gilbert right now.
There are things in life that are bigger than football.

Well, what's the whole story then?
Wait wait wait. Lemme guess. It's classified/top secret information. Yet, we are supposed to pray for him.

No he wasn't. He was RATED the best. That’s very different. He was in the same class as Max Johnson and Boutte; would you trade either for Arik? Neither would I. That’s two guys who are clearly better offensive prospects, and that’s just on one team.
Why do we have to trade anyone?
If you are wondering why people want Gilbert on the team, it’s because he is good at football. That’s all.

As usual, dumbshits like yourself think one player is bigger than the team.

No one is saying they shouldn't be allowed. Stop jumping to the most extreme conclusion.
The guy I responded to literally said "If he has mental health issues, college football is not the place to get sorted out."
I'm not taking anything to the extreme. I'm just responding to an extremely ignorant statement.
Being on a team is exactly what can help someone with mental health issues. It prevents them from isolating. There are built-in wellness checks. There are resources as far as health professionals. There are coaches and staff to help facilitate the necessary treatments. He can't just fall off the grid for an extended period of time without someone noticing. He probably can't start acting erratically without someone noticing.
Contrast that to a typical college student with mental health issues. A typical student can sit in his room all day and never leave. Nobody from the school is going to check on him. Nobody from the school is really going to notice if he misses a week of classes, and if someone does notice, they're unlikely to reach out to him, especially a first semester freshman. Nobody from the school is going to reach out, unprovoked, and encourage him to meet with a health professional. Maybe family and friends would do this, but he's hundreds of miles from home, so what are they really going to be able to do.

He needs to get an agent and go work out for two years or play on one of these upstart spring leagues. He has no business being in school.

You shouldn’t need the know all the details to pray for someone. Sounds to me you’re more concerned about being getting the scoop then praying for him.

And there won't be 4 pages on TD's about him. When I was his age I sure didn't want to have my every move dissected by a bunch of strangers on some university rant/gossip board.
I hope he can make it back and becomes an all American that Tiger fans will be proud of. And most importantly that he gets his life together.

At this point, I think it best for him and LSU to go elsewhere. We have other competent tight ends and while he has talent he would be a distraction and a hit against team chemistry if they knew he was getting special treatment.

The only reason he’s not playing for Florida right now is because he’s academically ineligible. He doesn’t want to be a tiger

Wow!! Some people have no clue!! When healthy Ark was our 2nd best player on offense. I'm not sure if Johnson will ever start another game at LSU.Ever coach in the nation would take Ark over both them.
