Whether we chose to believe it or not right now he just doesn’t have the power he needs hopefully he will get there.

The one sack he gave up looked to me like the left guard pushed the defender off his block. He was getting pushed back early but he is a rookie...

Mate he gave up less than a handful of sacks here what are you talking about. He was an elite college football player for LSU.

Now let's discuss the other half of offensive football, the running game. He was never elite as a run blocker. Got put on his arse multiple times his Jr season. Want to know the difference in those two things? Strength. All NFL players have strength. Plus speed. Hence, he struggles. He was pegged in HS as an OG.

much so that guys that stake their careers to making these decisions said he’s worth taking with the FOURTH pick out of every NFL eligible player.

Did Mel Kiper retire on his own terms after decades doing that job? He was mid at best at it. As for NFL team scouts, they lose their jobs all the time. Know why? They staked their careers on guys they shouldn't have. So much for that argument.

Was shocked he went so high in the draft. Good kid. Overrated.

Very funny that he was considered elite by pretty much every verifiable metric, received multiple AA and all conference honors and awards, was a top 5 pick, but Todd from Lafourche thinks he's overrated because he false started a couple times against USC.

Guy is playing against the best EDGE in the league coming off a grade 3 MCL sprain at the end of November lol. Despite that, he still graded out as an above average OT as a rookie.

He performed the same way in college. Big bully against lesser talent, but pushed back often when against equal or better talent.
Dumb and wrong.

The better OL of the two was always Emery Jones Jr.
At no point in either of their careers was Emory Jones better than Will Campbell lmao.

Loved Jones. He's not Campbell.

Damn NFL talent evaluators a hundred times over all missed on this but LSUShock had it.

I think we’d all admit, if we’re being honest, that the talent evaluators are not that great at evaluating talent. Always been bad at it - in all human endeavors. Not just sports.

It’s hard to tell who’s gonna succeed or fail next.

Where it is he was a lot better before a little injury he had during the season. I'm more worried about him getting pushed straight back

I watched the whole Seahawks Saints game this year. Campbell should not take a manhandling personally. They did that to a lot of people.

Might get moved to the right side or inside.

He got burned in the first quarter but seemed to hold his own the rest of the game.

I keep wondering why they keep him so close to the G and allowing the DE some much room to maneuver and get full head of steam

Their center is getting destroyed by the DT.

That matchup is so bad, it makes Campbell look like he is having a good game.

In short, the guards are busy attempting to bail out the center.

The right tackle is getting help from a TE on the regular.

That means Campbell is on an island quite a bit, and the rookie is getting owned.

TLDR - Seattle’s d-line is legit, and New England was exposed.

That embarrassment on that stage is the kind of thing that makes a player kick it into another gear in the offseason. Hope he comes back better than ever next year

Wills problem is he didn’t realize in a street fight the other guy may get to throw a punch too.

He was straight up terrible in the playoffs and it’s amazing (and lucky) NE even made it thus far.

The injury gives him a slight mulligan but he needs a great offseason.

He’s on the field because they spent a top 5 draft pick on him. They expect him to perform. He’s not playing well. I’m not sure why you have a problem with what the OP posted.

Bc half this fan base is a bunch of sunshine pumpers who never take off their purple and gold sunglasses and will defend anyone associated with lsu regardless of how they play or act.

I see the weight room a lot in his future. He'll be alright, though.

How is an OL who can’t run block considered elite?
