I think LSU will be able to run on them this year.
If you look at their line last year it was built around Robinson and Reed, two monster run stoppers. This year it is built around Williams and Allen, two monster pass rushers.
Ask Myles Garrett (one of the best pass rushers in college football) how he feels about stopping the run.

Fournette will have his best game ever vs. Bama. Etling will keep the chains moving. 150+ for Fournette, with 2TDs. 200+ passing 2 TDs for Etling. Tiger D holds Bama to 2 TDs. 31-14 LSU!!!!!

They run blitzed all night. Had no fear of the pass.
You keep saying this, but it doesn't change the fact that they were playing the run with 7 or fewer guys in the box more often than not. They may have been committed to the run, but they were still defending the pass with 4 or more guys more often than not.

You're going to have to mix formations including the spread to keep them out of the box. The short passing game won't be effective unless you spread and hit intermediate level passes otherwise they can still crowd the LOS and cover short passes without difficulty.
The key is you have to beat them with scheme because they don't miss many tackles. You can't just throw the ball in the flat and expect your guy to win the battle. You better be ready to run out of pass formations and pass out of run formations. Etling also needs to be aware of any free blitzers because if he doesn't like last week he's going to get creamed.

Beating Alabama is asking a lot of a team that has both fired its head coach, offensive coordinator and benched its starting quarterback. Alabama hasn't had to go through any of that. They are a thoroughbred team, and I think it's just their year.
That said, it can be done!

15 - 20 carries 60-80 yards 1 TD. 20-30 yards receiving.
